    a few things..

Posted on Oct 08, 2010 at 9:51 AM

the top section - the image of hot-air balloon has no significance - looks like it is stuck in between- and most importantly the placement is kind of unbalanced.

the punchline "Dilli design is a web..." is way too simple and straightforward.. think of something a bit more creative. also, too many colors used there.

the biggest problem is- call to action button- the small send button- thats all you have!! redesign that contact section, why name and subject is one field- never seen before. make it big make it bold- make send big, rename it to 'contact us' or something- add some text next to it as - 'please contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible..."

color selection is decent but content is not even there yet..

    Footer

Posted on Oct 08, 2010 at 1:30 PM

    Hi Nitin,

Really like the design just needs a few minor changes in my humble opinion:

    1. Hot air balloon needs to be less vibrant. It detracts from the rest of the header by pulling the attention from the important info.
    2. Try moving the portfolio header to left align with the left image. At the moment it looks inconsistent.
    3. Use a better colour for the send button - maybe the blue or orange
    4. the multi-coloured border at the top of the footer would ook better if the it went all the way across and the buildings sat on top of it. It looks odd having the break. The content of the site looks like it blends in with the footer too much.

Good work man! and good luck!

    Fonts & the footer

Posted on Oct 08, 2010 at 9:55 PM

Much better than your current site! Navigation is clear, samples are right there, logo & colors are integrated through out.

Not sure if Dilli perhaps means something in an eastern culture, or the significance of the colors, the "height" affect, but the whole middle section is very light and floaty, if thats what you're going for.

The patterned colors on the footer are a little odd though, with the line art and reverse text, the footer is way too busy. Simply this; integrate your colors but do it with more obvious rhyme & reason.

Too many different fonts over all.

Move the balloon so it doesn't affect layout

Posted on Oct 09, 2010 at 2:58 PM

I really like this design for the most part; the colors work pretty well together and the site feels very light and welcoming.

One thing that's bothering me is the use of the balloon in the top right corner. It's pushing your entire layout downwards without there being any particular reason for it; maybe see if you can integrate it into the header or the lower content so it fits in more cleanly.

I would also echo some of the previous comments and say that you might want to concentrate on making your call to action (the contact form) a little more attention getting and vibrant.

Good luck! You've got a good start here.

    remove contact Form from Homepage

Posted on Oct 12, 2010 at 8:21 AM

    Hi Nitin

I wuld remove the contact Form from the homepage. Homepage real estate is precious and is THE page where you can and have to make a good first impression. This is where you sell yourself. Think of other reasons why you are a good agency and say it there. If you're convincng, people will find your contact Form because they see a link to it.

    best regards,

    Baba

Remove the building shape from the footer and..

Posted on Oct 15, 2010 at 9:32 AM

    I would:

    1. Definitely remove the building shape from the footer!

    2. Make the footer all of the same blue of the menu bar, so remove the light blue in background and the multicolored bottom bar, you can leave the other one to separate footer form the white page.

    3. if you do (2) ,ake also the menu bar background to expand wide

Anyway even without my suggestions is extremely better than your actual one at http://www.dillidesign.com/
