Hi, You're on the right track. What comes to my mind is: What is the purpose of vanguard/digital? What do they do?
Looking closely, the letters G and R seems to be out of placed. Try replacing them
I like it a lot for web. All I would worry about is recreating it in print. On clothing and pamphlets, this will get mushy.
Definitely fails to develop your brand, though.
I like the minimal design, the missing horizontal line in the A. I only think the weight difference between the 'VAN' and the 'GUARD' is too big, on the web it'll work but try and print it on low quality, the give it a go in a bad copier at low quality and see if it's still readable.
Other than that: it looks great but I haven't got the slightest clue what to expect from vanguard. Maybe adding a punchy tagline will add some clarity?
Nick
I really like this, I think it's a huge improvement on the first.
I do have some critique though:
Overall nice simple and pleasing to the eye!
Good Luck!
I really like the logo, its simple and strong. There is just one thing about the G that bothers me somehow, i get the feeling that the G is much bigger (thicker) than the UAR in Guard. But it's just a minor thing.
Also i'm worried about the logo as a small print. The logo is perfect for the web, but i on print i think it will cause you some problems.
To get a better understanding if the logo is a good fit, I would really need to know what type of company this is for. I do like the logo.
--- ok, I followed the link. I think you need to add some color.
it looks designy and really professional .
it looks also like 80´s is looks also like a fashin label for me . i dont like this kind of fashin stuff - for this reason only 2 Engagement point from my site.
I like it but eh. Professional? Yes. Boring? Yes. So I guess it depends on what you are looking for.
Vanguard In Dictionary...
1. the foremost division or the front part of an army; advance guard; van. 2. the forefront in any movement, field, activity, or the like. 3. the leaders of any intellectual or political movement. 4. ( initial capital letter ) Rocketry . a U.S. three-stage, satellite-launching rocket, the first two stages powered by liquid-propellant engines and the third by a solid-propellant engine
Nick vanguard represents something strong and solid...So try using a solid font...thick and bold...right now it looks like VAN is strong and GUARD is very week...
I suggest make more designs....Good luck...:)
I think its lovely. The different weights work well, overall it looks quite modern but still quite elegant.
Perhaps a couple of adjustments on the letter spacing.
Otherwise, very nice.
