    Few elements.

    Aurimas,

    Few issues:

    1. The position of reputation data is important - should be near the photo. These are eye catchy elements which in your version make users' focus jump back and forth. Order of viewing should be like this: Photo, name, rep data, about me, feedback from members.

    2. Reviews & Concepts tabs are the most important (make it dominant) and the rest (contact, following, followers, favourites, stats) is just support info. Maybe Contacts, following and followers should be on one tab under Contacts?

    3. It's not obvious enough in this design that visible tab is Reviews.

    4. More reviews to see would be better and the rest as thumbs.

    5. Votes should be in horizontal position as it's easier to compare with votes below this way.

    6. In this right column where votes shouldn't be :) you may put small thumbs of review attachments, or just make the review section wider

    7. I would suggest to rephrase Feedback from members because on this site we use feedback on context of Concepts. Maybe Members about me.

    8. The button leave feedback apart from rephrasing should also be a button :)

I do not try to force my recent mockup but I positioned those elements in those places for a reason :) Lot's of thinking :)

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!

      Michael,

thanks. I agree with you on a couple of points, other I do not. I don't think horizontal votes / comment counts / etc. are important because these values are not used to compare reviews but rather to indicate the popularity / helpfulness of a review. There is no comparative analysis being done between users reviews. I also had a heck of a time trying to make it look ok horizontally, and it just wouldn't work for me. I also want to follow a similar pattern of how the reviews will look on the concept page (i need to tweak them there, too). Another thing I don't agree with is the switch of reputation with about me. The reputation element is so visually heavy and contrasty that it stands on it's own just fine. Adding it to the left column makes it visually really busy because of the buttons below and it just becomes a muck which is hard to visually parse.

I made a couple of changes and we're going to roll with this version. Thanks for all your help - I really do believe the combination of all the input from you, me, Emma, and other members will make this page very valuable both for members and for visitors looking for potential contractors.

I do understand you point on visually busy left side.

On the other hand for me having those elements on the rights is almost like having a name on the right. It can be there but you as a typical user would expect it to be near the photo, wouldn't you :)

For me word Expert becomes ambiguous when is not placed within context of photo and name.

So from my UX perspective it would be worth a stretch to nicely design those things on the left but on the other hand CF will not loose customers if it's on the right side :)

      Glad could help.

      Cheers!

I see your point but I think since we're making the whole right side about the quality of the user - it fits. Both the feedback from other users, the rep points, the standing, AND the expert badge all add up. Thanks for your help Michael!

maybe add some kind of delicate graphical divider which will emphasize that this a 'separate' User Quality section :)

    Wow! Nice work...

    So, a few comments.

First of all, it's a major improvement over the current member's pages.

But I put my "looking to hire a designer" hat on and there are a few things still missing for me. I'd like to know what areas of speciality you have, where your focus is.

Some of the elements appear twice. Why?

Is anyone following you on twitter, facebook, flickr or LinkedIn? All the icons look really nice and they are well laid out in your design, but they also add a busy-ness factor that affects the cleanliness and distracts from the purpose. I"m not sure I want to at first pass, maybe later after we do some work or get to know each other better...

So, I love the design, it's very nice, very clean, but I would like to see better organization of the information in the "about" section. See attached.
