Overall this is a really nice progressive enhancement to the site. The design as ever is clean and functional and totally in keeping with the rest of the site.
I love the social media integration.
I love the addition of available for hire. I do get odd bits of freelance work through the site but this highlights that it is possible to employ us designers too.
I love the new enhanced statistics.
The only thing I might quite like to see is to make the recent activity box smaller by about half and put a few recent reviews in another box underneath.
I like the top reviews tab too although if you were to follow my suggestion above maybe move the top reviews onto the newly created box below the recent activity and have recent reviews, top reviews as headings on that box. Bearing that in mind maybe move the graph in the right hand box down and have the member activity and member appreciation at the top. Then in the left hand boxes you could have recent activity box ending in line with the bottom of member activity in the box on the right. Then have a new box under the recent activity and starting in line with the top of the graph on the right with recent reviews and top reviews.
I think after all of that I can feel a mock up coming on as that was all far too complicated...
Other than the addition of the recent reviews given, it all looks great.
That's great, Emma, just what I needed. I'm still waiting on Michael's input and I'll make a revision.
Hi Aurimas,
It took me a while to write this review simply because I decided not to highlight all problems which are the consequence of misaligned content with purpose of this page. Instead I took a day off to mockup a solution, as this is such an important page for the users. Please don't expect me to keep taking another days off to design more though :)
Member public page has one major role. It is to allow other CF members (or members of the public) and hopefully prospect clients to form in an easy way an opinion about this user. This opinion will be based on reputation, quality of reviews (and designs), referrals from other members.
Easy way requires that:
all data which is not relevant should be removed to give space for info that is crucial in forming a quick opinion
all values have to be shown in relation to the community and be translated into plain language so first time viewers can understand them
elements should be placed within their context and not spread around the whole page
PS. A lot of elements which I removed will be very important for a user dashboard page.
Hope this helps
Cheers!
Michael

One more idea. Some users will want to put more stress on their designs so system should allow them to choose which tab (Reviews or Concepts) should be shown as a default.
With concept tab I would go for very big thumbnails (2 per row) to allow other to see them in more details without the need to open each one.
This page should be about the member and his/ her achievements. This could soon turn into a page of reputation in their own field of specialization. Apart from using this page to increase usage and users for concept feedback; I see that in the future many of the Resumes would be carrying the link to this page. Having said that this looks like a page that still focuses on concepts rather than, feedback the user has given. Its good to retain the thumbnail of the concept but it is also good to show feedback side by side. What about the Reputation and Award also associated more with the feedback than the concept. The highlight of the review pages are the concept, here the highlight must be more on who gives the feedback and how well they are performing instead of listing concepts again on prime real estate. And yes a better more presentable URL for this page is also the need of the hour.

These statistics dont mean much to me, even if I were to employ this person. What would mean to me is how successful he is in finding problems or giving solutions. Which is similar to what a reviewer would want to know (how well he is doing). I would thus highly recommend Reputation Log somehow bundled along with the thumbnail of the concept.
This would not mean much to me unless I would like to go back to a particular concept to see what others had to say about it. So the objective becomes different. Again instead of grouping this information by date I would recommend that it be grouped by concept.
Where is the 1. Feedback I gave 2. Award I received 3. Votes I received 4. and arranged in the descending order, latest on the top.
These two buttons should be visually grouped with the member info above and not with concepts below.
I would help more if their updates appeared here like other social networks. But i'm not sure if that is one of your objects.

Is this reputation by concept? but by using the same member's picture it does not seem to make sense. Why would one members reputation be listed? The only logical way to explain what is visually communicated by ignoring the text would be that it is the list of concepts and its corresponding awards givn to the member.
This website is rightly about two major components. 1. Concept 2. Feedback One cannot do ithout the other. Both need to be highlighted well. The review page gives enough highlight on the quality of the concept. The member pages should focus more on the cumulative quality of the feedback.
Good stuff - I'll need to go through these in detail and make some changes for sure. Thanks.
The design looks fantastic to me. It packs a lot of info in whilst keeping it nice and clean and understandable.
I like the Twitter and Facebook integration. I think the concept behind this page will help make the site much more social and encourage participation. At the moment it's not about making friends or contacts, and instead is about getting as many points as you can (not necessarily bad either)
I wonder if the following and followers section could be merged into one box, and I'd probably place them as the first visible content. My guess is the only person who will be really interested in the stats is the user themselves, and not the people who are viewing their public page.
In fact I wonder if the contacts at the bottom of the page should be combined into the tabbed area with the following and followers, and then the statistics gets moved to the bottom of the page. That seems like a more logical grouping to me (all contact related stuff together).
I also wonder if the tabs could be made to look more tab like, but it's probably not necessary as it's clear what is currently selected.
The follow and add to contacts buttons are quite a long way from the users main name/ profile area. Perhaps they should be on the other side of the page somewhere to create a stronger association to following the person with this name and avatar. At the moment they could be connected to the rankings or the reviews below.
The website concepts/ I'm not sure what that's showing. Top and Recent I understand, but is this concepts the user has reviewed, or concepts the user has posted? Whichever it is... where do you see the other?
Some great thoughts here - I def. need to re-tinker a couple of the components. Thanks Ben!
Hey, first of all. This is an example of a great design, that takes what's already good and well thought-out of the site and puts it to even better use.
The layout is simple, but very effective and I like how much information there is, without feeling too cramped.. props to that!
There are a couple of things I'd change.. Why are some buttons gray and some green? And for the buttons on top of each of the boxes, how can I tell it's active and the other ones can be clicked? Maybe underlining the inactive items would help..?
Not bad at all, I'd say!
Aurimas,
this is awesome! Love the stats chart etc. The date separation on the Activity feed looks really clear and concise. I'm really strugling to find areas for improvement. I've added a couple of point to the note.
Great work! :)
Great work Aurimas, I don't know why no one else has commented yet... probably because it's hit the mark and there's nothing to change?
It's a good area of the site to develop. Much clearer, more information and will certainly help bring more people into the site with the social network integration.
I was just thinking, maybe you should utilise Facebook Connect as a login portal for the site? That way people won't have to sign up just to post a review or like a particular design.
Nice to see my design in first place on the mock-up too, I timed my posting just right! ha ha. Do DevBridge produce work for businesses abroad too?
Dave - thanks! Yeah, I like your idea about FaceBook connect integration. I'll have to look at their API and what's involved.
You did time it well! :)
Yes, DevBridge does work all over. We're based in Chicago, but have developers worldwide.
@Aurimas - not only Facebook Connect but also other suppliers of OpenID like google, yahoo, ect.
You will have my lengthy review tomorrow. There are few things that need to be addressed :)
Agree with Michael, its all about making it as open and accessible as possible these days.
I might have to talk to you about a project I want to do... it follows the same lines as CF (i.e. profile pages and areas for people to post designs) but is going in a different direction completely so not a rival to CF of course! Could you private message me with some idea of how much a site similar to CF would cost?
Aurimas
I think this new idea will really work, I like this idea a lot better than what's currently happening, because as a snapshot I can see exactly where I am at...
One thing, please can you make a CF app for Iphone / ipad and Android... now that would be cool, that way I can always check and update, from anywhere...
Other than that not a lot more to say... I spend more time on this site than facebook or any other social networking site...
Great work keep it up!
It's a very clean consolidation and update. I wish I had something more pithy to comment on, but I really like the entire concept.
I agree with one other comment - make an iPhone / Android app!
I haven't perfectly aligned the reputation bit on the right with the recent review, top reviews etc on the left - think the baseline of all these elements would be nice if they aligned just to keep it as clean as possible.
As ever hope this helps - also have noticed a stray bit of review I forgot to delete out of the bottom in the contacts - please ignore this. Right am off to grab four or five hours sleep before going into deadline hell of Shortlist Media again tomorrow.
