Wood textures just do not do it for me at all. They are always so dark and dingy, sucks the life out of any imagery you have on the page just like a black background would.
I'll review by adding notes to your screen-shots.

Is it really necessary? The whole site would look much cleaner without it. I think perhaps you could look at just including the wood behind the top 1/3 of the page... behind the header and sliding content? The rest could be a softer off-white textured background.
Hardly any one will scroll down to find these categories and yet they are SO important to your website user being able to navigate through the site easily. PUT THEM BACK! And change the style to differentiate from the main navigation.
well I didn't want the categories up there on the first page, because here I have the products button on the main menu, and I have the slide with some featured products. I still don't think I should add the big categories menu on the first page, but I will try to add it and see how it looks.
Good layout in 3 columns but perhaps not enough whitespace between them. I would add some sort of separator... a thin dashed line or actually put a box behind each with 60% opacity... just something to make them stick out a bit more.
Across the site... everything looks very small and difficult to read. Knock it up a few points.
hmmm, it's 13px that should be enough ... why it looks small to you ? it looks ok for me
Why not look at making a better, more organised footer. You could embed a small google map in the footer saving the user an extra click and getting rid of that old style map.
well I like the icon :), and I am going for an old look because the furniture is mostly classic. And i think it's better for the user to see the map bigger, so he clicks and see it on the whole screen on google maps page.
This is almost black on black... lost on the background and difficult to see. This is why I think you need to change backgrounds underneath the sliding content...
The logo you've been given to work with seems to of set the tone for the whole site. Generally a bit dated. I'd knock up something more up to date and present it to them.
this will be changed as soon as possible, it is horrible I know, the name is not good either for a company name, but we'll see about changing it, it's a long process.
Also makes it look dated. I'd go with georgia every time unless you want to play with cufon font embedding.
I will try georgia again, but this is a standard font to it's Palatino Linotype.

It has no border..no background colour... too difficult to see.

I saw earlier you said you aren't actually a retailer but a manufacturer... this doesn''t mean you can't link back to the retailers that sell your products! This would send more traffic to their sites and make you more money.
right, good idea, but most of them don't have websites :), the ones that have some websites and good ones to are from other countries, not from Romania, I don't know if that helps me but still it's a very good idea.
You seem pretty set in your ways and not really willing to alter your design much...
In response to your comment about google maps... why would you want them to leave your website? They might never come back.
oh no, I am willing to alter the design, I already changed a lot from the first version based on what people suggested, of course I don't agree with all of the suggestion, we all have our style and tastes. But you had some great suggestions and I will consider them, thanks for all the help.
About the google maps, I don't think you are right on this one, if the user hits the google maps button (of course I could add a light box and open up google maps in it so that way he doesn't leave the website) he is interested in finding out where is the company located, so he will come back to the website or visit us.
And if you think I am wrong with some things do explain and let's debate on the subject, because I am learning here :), seriously I always learn from this community and from the feedback I get and give or read from other concepts.
i have few more things to say but very little time to do so, so forgive me for the partial review and i truely hope that i helped good luck
I think this is much better than the previous version. The carousel/ slideshow in the header now has a purpose, and the text and buttons are great.
I've added a few notes to your screenshots. I didn't add anything to the category and product pages as they look much better and everything I would have added to them I added to the homepage image.
In terms of your questions - I think this site does look like it's targeted more towards the end customers rather than businesses. I think businesses would be less interested in nice design and more interested in cheap prices.
Perhaps you could add some more features such as special offers for bulk purchases etc. Also you don't mention price so perhaps that is something that could be added. Maybe even a 'contact us for a quote' button on the product pages. Then you can get the customers talking to your reps.

I'd add some more text in these boxes here. It will be good for both the user and Google.
Not sure why the gap here is so big. I think it could be closed up a bit so that people can easily see the contact info beneath
Yeah, the space was left there because I didn't finish with the content on point 1, in the code I will not have all that space.
The links here are white, but on the rest of the page the normal text is white and links are a browny orange colour. I would make the links match everywhere else to keep things consistant, and to not look like it's just text to read.
I like the idea of the contact form in the footer but I think it's all too dark. Increase the contrast so that people can see it more easily. Hopefully they'll be more likely to use it then as well.
Not sure the map needs to be quite this big? What's your preferred contact method? You have a google map, phone number, email address, postal address, and contact form. I think the choice may overwhelm some people. Maybe it would be better if you simplify the choice in the footer and then include a link to a contact page that has all contact methods on it?

Not really a design issue, but I always feel the more text you have on a page the better.
nice design. Look so elegant
The wood texture is okay, and I especially like how it glows to highlight the featured image at the top, however everything else gets lost in the darkness at the bottom. I would suggest lightening it up or adding some sort of containers for the 3 columns, project categories, etc.
Also, that logo just doesn't match anything... if you have to use it, can it be one color? Or perhaps it can work better with the wood texture because it just looks tacked on.
To summarize, I see three pieces that don't work together. • The Logo doesn't work with anything on the layout. • The top half with the search bar, 4 buttons, and the image are clearly organized and none of these elements get lost. • Everything below the main image has the same hierarchy, gets lost on the dark background and is basically floating.
I hope that helps,
Max.
good attempt, just too dark. It's very difficult to read and surf the website IMO. I think you need to change the type for the website too, it's difficult to read, and be careful with your uses of shadows or gradients to show some of the image below the text.
I like the way it looks with the wood, but that could me a good idea to work with a different color on lower part, I will think about it.
And the funny thing is, you don't like the wood background but your name is "wood" :D haha.
