Hi Abdul, I love what you've done with the logo. looks great. Probably the moto "seeds your success" should be smaller as it was on the previous project.

I would definitely go with the cotton logo ( the first one )

I really like the sophisticated and original feeling about it now that it is simpler on white background. If i had a serious big company I would totally trust you to do work for me.

This logo tells me you are a serious sophisticated company run by cool people with original thinking.

My response is - I can trust them, and I will have fun working with them - and that is a great impression on a potential client!

    Nice Logo! I like it!

    Hi,

I like the logos you have done, I like the flower graphic but maybe it doesn't suggest the "Soft" word that much, it's having a too much "flower" look! Try this example that I did, with tech brackets to create the flower!

Avoid the no.3, there are so many logos with the leaf! Your has to be original and the first graphic is cool! Also the no.4 doesn't look that bad but I can't find the connection with the "janasoft" and you have 2 "j" which in the text you don't have, maybe a "j" and a "s"!

I like the no.5 font and the no.2 graphic, but have a look at what I have done based on your logos! You might try it!

You are on the right way and I think your logo is going to be cool! Good Luck!

    Make it more simple

Posted on Aug 31, 2010 at 7:34 AM

Why not use the cotton flower in the logo? It will save place and doesn't do harm to its readability... My suggestion is far form perfect, it's just to illustrate my idea.

This is a good suggestion. Still think it's hard to tell what line of business this is for.

Personally I think the metaphor is taken too far. This logo in itself along with its tagline would not suggest to me that this is a company in the web design industry.

Also, the logo would not at all bring trust to me. It seems rather childish, and the type that is used is far from original, in fact probably one of the most used free types.

Out of the options presented, the 4th brings the most trust to me and the least confusion. It is far from original, but at least memorable.

    option 3

Posted on Aug 31, 2010 at 12:38 PM

Personally I would prefer the option 3, As you said Jana in your language means something related with plants, tree... I can see most of your options include a cotton plant, this image plus the word JANA are getting people to a different direction, this could represent a t-shirt brand, natural products, etc,

But the option 3 open the spectrum, and looks better too, that "o" with the leaf on top is the key in your logo, what about if you work this area (O with leaf) creating something that represent a direct message to the people about what you do "web design". its is just and idea, but the most important thing, keep it simple

    good luck Abdul

I think it is a simple and basic and nice one. It conveys the message and is good for brand development

    nice

Posted on Sep 01, 2010 at 11:45 AM

I don't have much of a critique to add really - it looks really nice.

My favorite would be the logo from janasoft-no1.png with the text from janasoft-no2.png

The text in the second logo is soft, matching the softness in the name and the logo design (cotton = soft)

janasoft-no3.png is nice but seems a bit cliched/ obvious

janasoft-no4.png doesn't work at all for me. It just seems a bit overcomplicated and confused.

Lovely, but what does this have to do with web design?

Posted on Sep 02, 2010 at 12:05 PM

It's a lovely logo. But it looks more like something I would find on clothing than a web design firm. I like the logo #4 better, as I think it ties to the idea of "seeds" better. (the j's look like seeds to me). I like the font used better - for my eye, it's much easier to read and more modern looking. I also like the seedling, which implies "growth." good luck.

I prefer the 4. concept. But everyone is a bit out of purpose for a web development & design company... and there are a lot of company in the world with a leaf or a tree in the logo.

    Number 2 please...

Posted on Sep 03, 2010 at 3:32 PM

I think number 2 is my personal favourite. The only changes I would go for would be to use { } instead of [ ] around the cotton and also to have a little more space between the brackets and the cotton. Also the { references CSS - webdesign, a little hint at what the company is about!

    Re-interpret the seeds

Posted on Sep 05, 2010 at 12:30 AM

    Hi Abdul

Of the concepts shown, my preference is for No.3, only because it is closest to your business description and gives an impression of your company vision.

Having said that, the design is lacking in personality and differentiation, needing considerable work. But I think if you can find an original or unique way to interpret the "seeds" idea, it would be much better than than the cotton flower.

For me, the problem with the cotton symbol is that it's exactly that: cotton. The connection between cotton and web development is too obscure. It doesn't match with the word "seeds" either, because it's a flower.

Until I read your description, I thought your identity was a very good symbol for toilet tissue, or an apparel manufacturer.

I suggest changing the tagline to read: seeds of your online success. Then, re-interpret the idea of "sowing seeds", or "seeds on the wind" with a plant more closely associated with lots of seeds, like a dandelion or a pine.

I realise that the idea is far from original, but the trick is to get a prospect to recognise the symbol for what it stands for rather than what it literally means. Do that in a unique way and you'll have a striking identity.

    Hope this helps.

To bring in the letters in the word "Janasoft"

Posted on Sep 09, 2010 at 11:06 AM

Hi Abdul, I like no3.png the best. I think the idea of replacing the "o " with the symbol (as previously suggested by Birger) is a great idea.

Just a couple polishing suggestions. I would bring all the letters closer to each other except the "ft" they are fine. I would maybe extend the second line so the "s" in seeds lines up to the outside belly of the "a" in Java. I'm pretty sure things will line up better once the "Janasoft" is brought in.

No matter your choice here, I would keep the j dotted normally as it seems a bit to much in other versions. Good luck with your logo.

    Amy
