    alignment

    Hi Bonnie -

I really like your concept. My favorite is the 1st one (maroon), then the 3rd, with my least favorite being the middle blue one. The bottom purple is a little busy with the colors, but I still like it. Couple things you might want to look at:

    • the horizontal alignment of the 'featured projects' doesn't line up with the right nav column, 'looking for a web designer?'
    • also, I know this is getting anal, but the height of the maroon bar with the 'featured projects' is about 13px compared to the heights of the other maroon bars which are roughly 27px and 16px. For some reason (maybe it's just me), it's throwing off balance as a whole.
    • I would be consistent with either using left or center alignment for the content in your right navigation panels. The 'Twitter updates' copy is left aligned whereas the content of the other two panels is centered.
    • the size of your copyright text should be slightly smaller.

Your concept is overall very clean & fresh. I really like your font choice and their colors. I find they work well together. Nice job....

    Have fun! :-)

Thanks for all the feedback! The maroon one is my favorite too. I have asked a lot of people which they like best and the answers have been totally across the board. I'll go with the maroon now and I may add a theme switcher to the site later on.

I fixed the featured projects bar so it is consistent with the others on the right. That was actually a very good suggestion and tightened things up a lot.

As far as the twitter box, I am going to tweak that a lot once I actually drop the code into the real site. I'll keep the consistency with alignment in mind.

Smaller copyright text is definitely a good suggestion, which I'll implement.

I'm working on coding it out now. I'll post the final product once i get it done.

      Thanks again!

    Hi,

first of all when I get in to your website I felt so bloody .. it's all red and black just like Dracula !!?

come on you are a designer and you must have a colorful website , show us ur best ..

BTW, I hate the heights of the red line at the top and the white line under the links on hover in ur navigation

and I think you could try some other fonts for the titles ..

    Have a good luck ;)

    Design & SEO

The design is decent. It's a bit dark for me, but that is simply a personal preference. I slightly agree with the review above regarding the bloody, vampire feel. It might not appeal to the average woman. I might try to add some contrast to the slider images by implementing a bit more white into them.

I do not see a sitemap page, or privacy policy / terms / conditions page. These are both crucial for SEO and safeguarding your business against any small legal fines.

The "Stalk Me" is creative, but again, I'm not sure this would appeal to women. Some of them may be persuaded to not click on your social links simply due to your choice of words.

The portfolio thumbs are nice, but I could not click to enlarge them, or view their information, what services were used, etc. Details like these are good for someone that is seriously considering your company. They will want to gather as much information on your capabilities as possible, with the information that you display on your website.

    Last thing.

Your image names need to be changed to reflect what the images are. I saw a ton of images named "thumb-2" or "image-1.jpg" and etc. These image names, along with the alt tags will greatly assist in your SEO plan.

    Cool

Hi Bonnie, I liked all the colors and designs , they all look good.

Only Text Size needs improvements , as you are using Dark Backgrounds , if you make Font size little bigger then it will be really easy to read the content on your site.

    Thank -Sadia-
