Logo design for Jana Soft V 1

The design is sound though the font choices are a bit dated and conservative for a modern development company.

Here's my problem. I understand how you arrived at this imagery but I just see cotton and the word Soft coupled with that tagline and I don't think tech.

I think fabric softener or something.

I like this design but I can't work out what the image is supposed to represent. It's a difficult one - a good logo is really tough to create. The text looks fine, perhaps a little old skool, but not bad. I think that you really need to rethink the image though. I dont think that it is strong enough to stand on it's own without the text.

You could try just using a small sprouting plant with one or two leaves.

I like the name and the tagline...

but the rest is pretty ordinary and dated... the font is not that special as there are no treatments as in tweaks to it.

Things that I like:

1. Name
2. Tagline
3. Colors

Things that need to be changed:

1. Outline stroke - lose it
2. Cotton icon, doesn't match what the company does, think of the IT sector and the idea of the name then create an icon based on that
3. Spacing between icon and text - close the gap
4. Font - change it
5. Cap J and S - change it either to all CAPS or all lower case, otherwise it reads funny (like a shampoo or softener)
6. Gray lines - lose em

I like the concept and the logo. I think it creates a nice atmosphere and I like the connection between cotton and software. I think it's original and I can very well see it working.

One quick example - i don't think company name like "Headoff" has anything to do with anything else that taking people's heads off but it's a successful trademark for a variety of products. If you try to explain your business with a word that is closely related to it, you will most definitely end up with a boring name. So I wouldn't worry about the connection between cotton and software and people who can't see it!

Once again I like the idea very much and I think it creates original identity and people remember that!

About the graphic work - I really like the concept - I love the colors and typeface. I like the way everything is placed.

Couple of things I would try: I would try and see how the logo will look with a more blueish color - something between red and blue or pure cyan. Maybe try: R-176, G -255, B -223 and see how it looks. I think it will create a more modern look about it, but that's just an idea.

I would definitely work a bit on the leaves on the cotton symbol - i think they twirl too much - a more simple form will achieve a more classy look.

I would also remove white outlines on the letters.

Another thing I would try - I don't know how the logo will work on your website but in my opinion - try placing it on pure white background. Perfection is in simplicity! :))

Looks like it might be for something agricultural or textiles. Tag line too vague.
