Here's how you can make it more interesting:
1) I checked your site and the progress indicator is static. Add countdown timer which updates this process indicator.
2) Add a "Email me when site is up" textbox in which user gives his email address and you can send him / her email once you are up and running.
This way you won't loose your customers who visit your site.
Rest all looks promising! Keep up the good work!

Showing progress on the "coming soon" is smart, especially if there is traffic coming to the site already and frequently. Makes me want to come back and see the site!

I think it's a great idea... could you also post a snap-shot or sneak peak at what the updates are? And then update your Twitter and Facebook followers as the progress percentage increases?

Very nice concept and cool colors
but the size of the pic in the browser is so big !! and I think you should work on make it a bit smaller e.g.(height <= 450px )
and the twitter bird is a little bit big if you compare it with the other two social networks icons ..
and if we are talking technical side so I think you should add some meta tags in your HTML code and change the links from map to normal links so the spiders of the search engines could index some links from you page.. before you go online.

The design and concept overall is great but make it more alive is the only thing i can contribute whit.
Try for an example to make the processbar moving and changing colors, that would make the website way more interesting.

nice concept.. however, what is coming soon.. give us a hint.. would it be ur personal site, or it is a blog.. what should we expect when the design progress becomes 100%. also, im not a big fan of font face used for 'web & graphic designer'.

Hi.
"Social icons" with text you can make lover i think. Consistency could be good too(FB, W are different from Twitter).
Progress bar maybe thiner.
Try put there a text box to let users sign up when the site be ready.
