I'd go for the orange and blue concept. It is the most interesting, and shows a modern and trendy company.
That said I would pay additional attention to the whitespace. More padding on the columns, and some more space between the center content and the footer (the same space as there is at the top) would help the content breath better.
also might be good to make the call to action button a different colour so it stands out even more, although that is the sort of thing you should be A/B testing once it's built :)
You could add some icons to the services area. One icon for each service. This would add some additional visual variety, and also make the page a bit more interesting to look at
My choice is number 2. Altho' there is something compelling about the girl in No. 3, but I'm not sure how you'd use her in 2.
The orange/blue palette is clean and clear, generating a good feeling for your small business target audience.
My major issue is with the triple-barrelled headline. It generates just one reaction with me – a huge yawn, accompanied by a loud "so what?" Of course you listen to your clients, of course you're creative and of course you work for businesses. Doesn't everyone? A prospect would rightfully expect those things as a bare minimum standard.
You've got to get smart with your positioning and your value statement. I realise the current headline is probably a place-holder, but unless you get it right you'll be stuck with it.
Replace READ MORE with VIEW OUR WORK button. Give the left column a Featured Work heading aligned with the other two. Otherwise the split column looks like a mistake.
Hope this helps.
Hi Steve, Thanks for your input. We are in the process revising the design based on the feedback. In the next go around, you will see the triple barrel headline gone and a headlines with 5-7 words saying what we do. I really hope that when we re-post our design that you will return and offer us feedback. Thanks again.
All 3 concepts have a nice look. I personally like more concept 1 and 2. But the problem on all of them I think is they don't show up immediately what you do. I need to read SMALL text to understand.
IMHO: just write "WEB DESIGN COMPANY" instead of WEB-PLIC-I-TY
and its usually more difficult for the human eye to read.
The layout on the first version is compelling. I thought though, that the name of your firm was webplicity. I like pixels perfected to produce maximum punch.
"plicity" sounds like duplicity and is a negative connotation in my mind.
I like one message and get me straight to the portfolio.
Would like to see testimonials right there on the page about your work and what its like to work with you.
Prefer number 3 because of font colors, but would like to see #1 reversed. Got lost in number 2.
If #3 is the one, then put a real client there in terms of the photo over the screenshot and tell me why she loves you so much and how you listened, produced, and delivered for her.
Tell me more about what things you deliver. DO you just deliver web sites? Say it.
the first one is attractive, second one is clean and third one is just an ordinary template. although i like the second one better (layout wise) however, this one has issues regarding content, for an example-"read more" button - it is going to show me more of the catchy phrases "we do this we do that" or more about work..
the first example is good as it clearly says "view our work" and then "Get in touch with us" for a project.. they are the two most important buttons on the page.. also, using "}" as an design element is very old style and the text "web-pli-ci-tee- noun" is unnecessary and waste of space..
so u can simply add call of action buttons on second sample and make it work.
i like the 2nd concept the most. Though every concept has something good about it.
The header image of the 2nd concept is most suitable. Its bright and colorfull and gives a nice clean feel to the website.
the project preview images are good aswell.
From the 1st concept you can have the "have a project" button and place it some where in the main banner or in the lower body.
Services list is best in the 3rd concept as it grabs attention.
The footer is good for the 1st concept. ie the tweet and love u sections...
Also in the header, the box that holds the logo.white box can have very light gray gradients and look more 3d and interactive.
The white + orange color scheme looks better then the other one.
Regards
Hello JC!
Version 3 is my favorite.
I added some notes to it.
Regards and sorry for my bad english.

I really think that the navigation should be aligned to the center of the bar, looks weird on the bottom
This is the only element on the whole website that uses inner shadow, I suggest removing it to follow the website pattern and to simplify it.
I really liked this image here, it`s catchy. But as i said about the top bar i think you could remove the drop shadow on the background and maybe add a "browser bar" to the layout on the background.
Work a little more on the buttons, make them pop and stand out, give them some life, colors are great but I don`t really liked the effects.
Maybe using a 3 column grid here would make it looks better. Transfer the dark grey box content to one of the other columns. It will make the content area looks cleaner.
Ben - thank you for your input. we are currently revisiting the design and adding in some of your suggestions. Thank you for your help and we hope that you will share your opinion when we post our revisions.
