Hi Kurt, definitly there's a improvement. I think the logo still need some major changes, the shadow is too strong and this dark blue looks weird, specially when used with green.
The text-alignment, line-height and size looks really good for me. But maybe you could work a little more on the headers.
This bright green burn my eyes, in my opinion you should use green only on details, the green text is already catchy because of its size, at the moment there are many things calling my attention on the page.
The text on the testimonial box is the only thing on the page that looks out of alignment for me and I really think that you could change the grey box behind it, there's a lot of unused space in there btw.
Sorry if i'm wrong, but I don't think you'll have text to fill all the "Want to sell your caravan quickly" space, so why don't you work on your page structure with a grid system and make it 3 column and use the right bar space to show some REALLY nice pictures of happy customers and maybe even some testimonials.
Sorry for my bad english, regards.
Nice improvement! To the point, clear, no non-sense, excellent. A few tweaks here and there may make it visually more appealing but I think the basics are very much right.
By the way, when you say "any" caravan is that a global statement or only for one country? This is not immediately clear to me.
Very good question... one I'll have to clarify which my client... I ask the question about 'anywhere' in the UK as they're based in Wales, and they were happy with that.
I don't think it would be a big problem for them to buy a caravan from anywhere in Europe, particularly as caravans are popular in some other European countries such as Poland and Spain, but it certainly needs clarification.
Hi Kurt, you have a solid idea behind this concept. Here is what I think needs to be changed or added to make this design better:
Put more thought into your color scheme. As it is right now, it makes your site very unattractive and overly busy. This is so because your colors used in this design clash with each other. Although the color choices here are all ones that give off cool and laid back vibes, the shades of these colors do not gel right. I suggest using color scheme designer or adobe kuler to find a a more suitable one.
One line footer. There is no need to have a double line footer here, especially when you have that little amount of info in it.
On the Request Quote page, the background for the contact form is unnecessary. I just feel that unlike on your homepage, there is no real need for it to be applied here when it is only a contact form being displayed here. If you want something that will make it stand out, I suggest playing around with the input fields and submit button.
Maybe a different heading font. The one you use now is just not strong enough to me. I would suggest looking for a good font on sites like dafont and use something like cufon or @font-face to display it.
Reconsider space separating different paragraphs. Seems like a lot of white space, especially in certain sections.
Well, those are my primary concerns. I hope my comments help you.
Great tip on cufon as an alternative to the CSS 3 @font-face.
How many people on here are using this?
The general consensus I thought was that using fonts that weren't on the client's machine was forbidden. Embedding them was considered unreliable (dependent on browser), and costly in terms of performance. There are a reasonable range of fonts that are fairly common across platforms, and that using the font-family to specify an order to which CSS should try to apply the font, if they're available on the client. I've tried a few sites and didn't notice performance issues.
I use Kuler occasionally, so I'll run it through there.
Thanks for the feedback!
Kurt
