    What is it?

Is this a self promo piece? It's very attractive, but not sure what it's purpose is.

I understand the low score on the purpose. Really, there was none. I was just practicing different skills, methods and effects.

I would adjust the texture of the background to come more thru on the image

Burn and dodge areas to add realism and more texture

This is an interesting piece but it also looks like it was thrown together in 5 minutes. You could really sharpen up the image by using different brushes on the mug stains. You may want to do some additional distressing to the image itself. Burning and dodging will really help and the areas where the cloth folds or moves play with the perspective and tweak the design so it looks like it is in the cloth rather than text sitting on top of the cloth. Interesting idea though.

    the folds

Posted on Aug 03, 2009 at 7:50 AM

there are some very subtle folds in the fabric. right now the girl just looks slapped onto the canvas, she doesn't look like she's been screened on. Try duplicating that canvas layer and separating the light and dark channels and placing the image of her withing them. it will give a much more accurate appearance.

I like the colors and the stains... I like the smudgyness of the eyes too
