    Legibility

Posted on Jul 30, 2010 at 12:10 PM

Love the colors. There are few schemes sexier than orange + black + warm grey.

I get a sense of adventure and excitement when I see these, but I'm not sure what it is I'm excited for. The purpose is a little unclear to me in that regard. What is this logo/identity designed to represent? A service? A product?

Typefaces are too trendy for my taste. If I knew more about what this represented, it could alter that judgement. The taglines in general are much too small and/or constrained. I think a good, legible and clean typeface could do the trick nicely.

Lighting is smart, but dark. I love colors on dark, but I personally try to be very careful with contrast.

My favorite is the bottom selection within "voyagner2.png". I just wish it wasn't so dark and that I could read the tagline. What is the primary typeface in that design called?

      Thanks Bart,

It is for an adventure travel blog and could later tie in with a travel company and expeditions. The typeface on the one you like is called slant, free on dafont. I like that one too but it also the one I think suits the purpose least.

    Lighten it up.

Posted on Jul 30, 2010 at 3:13 PM

    Dude, This is awesome!

Like the other review said it makes me feel a sense of adventure. however, with just the logo, i dont know what for.

Maybe when this is on a business card/website it would make more sense.

I REALLY like the second one on Voyagner3 that font is the easiest to read and the most non-"alien"

    Definately go with orange.

The I think you should just lighten the word Voyagner up.

    Overall Really awesome!

Cheers, I'm going to have to put it on the background it will be going on which is more grey. I think I can narrow these down to three then I'll have to put it to a vote with my followers.

Hey Voyagner, I love the colors and I have to admit that it catches my excitement. There are quite a few choices here and I think if you ask 10 people, you are gonna get 10 different opinions for the "best" one :) However my vote goes to - 1. 2nd one on voyagner2.png. I think this is the best. 2. 3rd img in voyagner2.png. With a white outline like in img2 in the same png this would be a close second. 3. Third choice, img1 in voyagner3.png with larger font sizes.

Overall a very catchy design. I like it :)

    The first

Posted on Jul 31, 2010 at 4:52 PM

I think the first option better than all, but, maybe you missed your target: "create a brand to a blog about travelers". That samples is more "adventure", try think about travel stuff, jungle, culture, etc.

This is my opinion, but, if you will to use the first option, choose another font to secondary text, that is almost unreadable. I hope this help you.

Really nice work. I liked the way you used your colors. The best one I liked was on voyagner2.png 3rd one.

I dont like the dark colors soo much. It does not relate to me to a fun travel site. it look much more technical to me.

That's good, it will be lighter is the end but more importantly by not being bright and fun it's not going to be like most of the travel sites out there.

Too dark for me. Takes a while to focus and see what it is
