    1 or 4

Posted on Jul 27, 2010 at 7:57 PM

I like the 1st and the 4th the best.

I would probably use a different font and make it all lowercase, and a gray color.

I've done a simple mock up, hope you don't mind

    Great start keep going!

Thanks for the mock-up! I did another version based on your thoughts. Let me know what you think of it.

Hi Jeff, I think this is a good try and Aaran has chosen a nice bold web 2.0 style font. perhaps you could check out dafont.com or another free selection of fonts to get a new sleaker look than century gothic or futura? just a thought.

    gear

Posted on Jul 28, 2010 at 12:41 PM

no 1 is cleaner but i think there is a lot of gear in it- the bottom part of gear should be simpler- as a semi- circle and part of the could.. so the point is, even if you show just some gear (not the full circle)- you should be fine.

    1 or 3

You said: "As such I think the design should be clean and fresh, but not too arty. We'd like to be the company that business owners can relate to, trust with their projects and completes projects that generate real returns for their business."

In my opinion, number 3 fits that description the best. It's very clean and simple, but gets the point across. It just seems to be the best out of all of them to me. Very professional.

However, number 1 does have a lot of promise. I like the concept. It just seems to be lacking something, though, and I'm not 100% sure that people would get that it's supposed to represent a gear. If I hadn't seen the lower ones with a gear concept, I don't think I'd have gotten it. Probably why 3 gets my vote instead. :)

    type

Posted on Jul 29, 2010 at 7:06 AM

I think the logo on the 1st concept is the best, but it'd be nice if you brought its size down and chucked a couple more smaller gears in there maybe?

I don't really liek the type on any of them, if you could incorporate the cut out of the cloud into the tyoe somehow thatd be cool and also look for a nice typeface that complements the simplicity of your cloud icon.

    Must Change the concept completely

Posted on Jul 28, 2010 at 1:28 AM

Well... all I can say is I didnt like them, way too simple, though your idea of keeping a gear in a cloud or vice versa is good it is old school, I dont remember where exactly but I have seen this concept before....

    little details and it's done!

Posted on Jul 28, 2010 at 8:55 AM

I like the second one the most.

    the works are the gear and they make up a cloud;

the 4th one has the same idea but it gets too cluttered.

I'd add a tad more space between "d" and "W"

perhaps you could try it out with 3 instead of 4 gears which are a bit wider, makes the logo a bit less complex.

the first could work if you adjust the opacity with of the cloud with 5 or 10% down so that the full gear has a more body

    nice

Posted on Jul 27, 2010 at 6:11 AM

nice work ! i like the nr 3 and 4, but i suggest to make the nr 4 like nr 3 (clounds with wheels).

nr 1 is to simple and the wheel is like the sun ... and nr 2 is to retro :)

nr 3 and 4 are very cool, but try to combine them for a uniq logo.

    nice idea

Posted on Jul 27, 2010 at 8:13 AM

try and refine number 4. i like the simplicity of number 4, but you dont find the idea of a gear in that one. what i suggest:

try and make the margins of the cloud (number 3 we're talking about) look like gears-like number 4...but with the full colour of number 3. and please dont use full black for the text (i suggest using gray, or a blue-ish gray)

the baby blue in the #4 may need another color

Posted on Jul 27, 2010 at 12:26 PM

    I love your #4.

It definitely conveys marketing and thinking in the cloud.

    1 is nice too.

    I don't care for your #2.

3 is simple, not sure why you put the cloud on orks, instead of cloud, or other or the whole thing.

    Nice Idea!

Posted on Jul 27, 2010 at 3:55 PM

    Hey,

I really like the idea of the first one! I would definitely go with that one!! But you need some improvements!!!!

Try to make the graphic cloud and gear smaller, maybe try a different gear!

The last one doesn't look bad at all! But I will go with the first one!
