Hi Zeno,
You're logo looks really great. I think the bright colors, gradients, and sense of movement REALLY stand out and will attract attention and leave an impression. Awesome!
Here's a few thoughts...
Thats all. I think overall you've crafted a very impressive logotype. With just a little bit more polishing I think you're ready to go.
Christian
This is a truely inspiring and beautifully crafted logo...
I may need to ask for some help when, I finally finish my new company logo!
Works great in color as well as gray-scale!
Excellent Work!
Thanks for your review, also for your kind words. I would be glad to help out.
Hi Zeno, I love the colored "W" in the Webia logo. It also looks great all in black. The only two things I would maybe fool with just to compare would be making the W smaller and the word "webia" bigger as it seems to be a bit top heavy as though it would tip the whole logo over to the left. Or visa versa...or that big loop smaller... I'm unsure of the exact solution. The last thing even though I also love the typeface choice you have. Maybe have a more contrasting typeface; as the "a" and "e" have unique curvy shapes drawing my attention to its fun shape, as well as the w's fun shape. ( It's just a slight pull, so no big deal really.) I like it. Amy
Hy Amy. Thank you for your feedback. I ll keep the things you pointed out in mind when finishing the logo. Thanks!
First of all let me say i think the W is wonderful. It really is amazing as a full color image. I have a few thoughts which may or not be any help. First, the "webia" below was kind of a throwaway to me. The logo seems to be more excited itself than the name. I am not as fond of how the logo looks as flat black + white - it simply lacks dynamic - perhaps add thin white strokes to imply those folds so that it still has dimension?
Next, the webia font. I think the "a" has too much character. I personally think the W is so extravagant that I prefer a simpler sans-serif font (yes even simpler). Perhaps there is a version of the text webia in the current rainbow of colors. I had no idea what webia did at first. perhaps if you gave more breadth to the name "webia" it would be a bit clearer. Currently the name is totally overshadowed by your beautiful W.
the w3bia could work fi the 3 were more symettrical like this three: 3. it currently just looks jagged and hacker-ish.
excellent work!
thanks for your comments. please read all specs carefully before you review.
specifications. |w3bia| is the old logo, wich i'm redesigning.
Hi there!
You've got a nice logo here! Could you try a different font, like futura or metro? Would be nice to see the result... I'm not sure about the current one...
I like the overall concept and the colors! Great job!
Sorry I totally disagree... the font you have Christian is beautiful, futura is an UGLY font...
Agreed - def not futura. Museo is a beautiful font - although very (perhaps overly) popular.
overall, i really like the design. my only real thought is that the leading "w" doesn't match. it's nothing but straight edges while everything else has soft, rounded parts. i'm guessing that's just the "w" from the font you picked (which i like all the other letters from).
random thought: the "webia" font reminds me of the new ubuntu font.
last thought: the 3D effect in the left part of the big "W" isn't as clear as the 3D effect on the right part. i'm not sure if the swooping and flipping is harder to follow because of the thin section or because there isn't as much contrast in the red to orange transition as there is in the purple part, but it's just not as clear to me.
other than that, great work!
the w in webia is just fine. sticks to the other letters in "webia".
Thx for your comment.
It is a bit hard to make out that it is actually a letter W - looks a bit like a ribbon floating in the air ;-)
thx 4 your comment.
if i wanted the "W" to look like a W i ve used Arial...
I like it. Very original. I would check to make sure you are not making another symbol in another language. WIll be tricky to do a box version as you shown.
the box version is to show the people how the logo would look like in plain white. actually all the versions in the bottom are just variations of the actual logo wich is the coloured "W"-like symbol.
I think the grayscale logo is the most effective out of the 4, as there is a 3D effect, but isn't as complex as the coloured version. I still like the coloured version nethertheless, but there may be too many colours included. If you do go for the gray version, try experimenting with colour for "webia". It may improve balance in the logo.
Overall though a really effective logo, nice work
The grayscale logo is just the grayscale logo :D as you also so nice pointed out. I should probably have another look at some of the colors used in the logo. Thanks 4 the comm.
I like the coloured version, and the grayscale one jumped out at me pretty well too. The only other minor criticism I could come up with was that I might make a different section of the W yellow than the one you've selected, as I suppose the yellow can be a little light and washed-out... but that's pretty nit-picky.
Excellent logo. Looks great.
Thank your for your comment. I should probably revise the colors in the logo, or just some of the shades used.
I definitely prefer the placement of 'webia' under the left-hand loop of the big 'W'. Also has the bonus effect of letting the name be larger. Good idea there. I do feel like that loop lost a little bit of it's 3D-ness in the slight change of colour and shape. But to my eye, this one is ready to launch.
Really love the logo. Very creative and loving the colours its got going.
Maybe change the font, it seems a little out of place. Not sure what you could change it too, however.
Well done!
simple, gorgeous
I found it good enough.. no changes though!
I like the way you used the different gradients and then there is that over lapping effect which is just cool. Moreover the logo looks completely original and proffessional.
Great work
Excellently executed. Works in its most simple variations. The color adds spark. Not to convinced of the font-face.
I do not want to repeat what has already been said, I will confine myself to one thing that troubles me: why do I know this logo?
At first I thought to the logo of the company Infogrames http://www.google.fr/images?um=1&hl=fr&tbs=isch:1&sa=1&q=infogrames+logo&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai =
then I remembered another logo, but i can not put a name on it. It also uses a kind of colorful ribbon.
Finally, it is nonetheless a fine achievement, congratulations.
Best regards
Love the logo but dislike the typeface
I think the 'w' is lovely, but its a bit intrusive - it might be nice to play with the size and dimensions of the logo, maybe bring the tail at the front in a touch and give a fairer height/width ratio to the letter itself - it looks squashed to me
But otherwsie ace!
good work... curly design is so inspirational
I see nothing to say except that the grayscale one for me need a bit more contrast.
It think it is also better with webia below the logo.
What i really like is that you find other way to use the logo ( white on black, only black) it shows that the logo is ready for other media...
Keep good work
Thank you very much but my name is Cristian. I will consider your feedback. (webia is a little to the left to "look" centred, but due to the fact that we design "off boundaries" i shifted "webia" a little to the left- Thank you for your feedback.)
