I love the colour scheme, it's a palette I use myself. I think there are a few things that could be done to help portray your upbeat attitude.
I think a slab sans serif would work better than the current font you're using.
If you choose to use the current font be careful of your leading and kerning.
The thing that I think requires the biggest change is the zebra. He looks bored and sleepy, I'm sure this is not the message that you'd want people to get when seeing your site for the first time.
I agree that your actions should be a lot more obvious and apparent.
I like the over all feel and direction you're going, I just think it needs a couple of adjustments.
I like the Zebra, but not the font....look at my idea and see the font. (LTZapfino One)
You just need to create some more variations!!!
The colors are amazing, do not change them!!!
Hi Liviu Wow! This is a really interesting treatment of the name. I like it a lot :-) This sort of effect could work well! Thanks so much for taking the time to draft it up!
i love this one as well, just the slogan is in a very tiny letters and will be unreadable on small formant prints
I like the concept. It is an interesting treatment with the stripes. If you just want a very basic way to pull it together while still keeping your tag line create a frame around bottom of logo.
Some suggestions: Change the leading between Cart and Zoo to make them visually look the same.
Make tag line in a sans serif font to give it a bit of a reason to stang out
Knockout the tagline in box
See attached. You would have to adjust the font and spacing to make the tagline fill the area, but this should demonstrate what I am referring to.
Thanks Mark. This does work well. I like how it seems to pull the image and text together. Will give that a whirl too!
This is just me brainstorming, and it would need some refinement, but I thought I'd show you an example of my 2 cents, Nice start.
This looks like a circus logo or zoo :D, I don't thins is appropriate! I think is confusing :D!!
Hi Chance Thanks very much for posting your concept. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that and I take your point about the font! Will get cracking on that!
On home page - the two dot points I would make into image / visual buttons/ cues so that there was a stronger visual element on the site. These could go along the zoo theme ...

Hi an Interesting approach when for the logo
The first thing that i see in the logo is that "zoo" appears to have been squashed and looks a little odd.
The second is that the zebra seems a little jaggy and not very smooth is this vector ?? i understand that this may have happened when saved as a .jpg
of the three logos i think i like the second one the most however the zebra looks to big and i think that will skew the footprint when applying the design across various mediums.
To counter this i would draw a rectangle around the zcz and bring the zebra into the edges of the rectangle.
I also think the second logo works better because of the spacing relative to the size of the type between the zebra and the type.
so after all that waffle
zoo - is it squashed zebra size - reduced to meet logo type mark type spacing - similar to the proportions to the second one.
strap line - sorry im not a copy person lol
Hi Nick Thanks for your feedback. I have tried it with the zebra and the text taking up roughly the same amounts of space. It does look better :-) Will incorporate some of the other suggestions and post.
Here's how I think you could take your design to the next level: 1. Simplify the Zebra - All those stripes are interesting at this large size, but when will the logo actually appear this large? Probably not often. Try a few less stripes and continually viewing the logo at half size while working on it. Consider changing the hair between the ears to resemble the mane on the neck. Although the neck mane is a bit too spiky. 2. Polish the typography - I like using a serif font lik you chose, because the Z looks great. But maybe try all caps? Also focus on cleaning up the kerning on the letter. Your "C" is distant from the "art", there's too much space between the letters in"Zen", etc. 3. Adjust the tagline - It is very tiny, try running it under both the zebra AND the name, so you have more room to enlarge it. Consider using a different font, like Futura Medium. 4. Adjust the colors - Brown and blue are interesting but get old very fast. Try warming things up with yellower brown. Maybe try other colors instead of the cyan, like lime green or magenta. Might not be the direction you're comfortable with, but could be much more attention-grabbing.
I like the colours, the font and think the design is very adequated. Maybe it should have more information on the homepage.
with such a HUGE image of the zebra, i thought it was going to have something to do with zebras. but, i guess not.
Since Zebra's are not native to Australia, I'm not sure why you chose a zebra. why not a kanagroo? or some animal that is indigenous to australia. I like the zebra design - I'm just not sure how it ties into your company.
i would recomend to have the Zen Cart Zoo all on one line. then the second line would be your biline "Austraila..."
then have the icon on the left or right.
1)try using only capital letters 2) smooth the edges of the zebra 3)try another brown
Love the zebra illustration - i think alternating the blue/brown on the stripes would be cool
Not keen on the font used though, I don't think a serif font suits
I know this is a little late but maybe it would still help?
I really enjoy the illustration. The two-color palette is simple and works well for the illustration and gives it a personality. The typography is the only thing I have a problem with. The different sizes throw me off and it feels like there is no reason for the changes. I would keep the capitalized on the same line height as the lower case so it creates a blog effect. Right now, I think the capital pulls from the illustartion.
like design
I definitely love it.
The colors are great.
It´s very attractive.
Why don´t you try putting Australia´s Zen Cart eCommerce Experts both below the logo and the text?
I like the colors and the zebra is great. The font is hard to read and quite a mouthful to say (beyond the scope of the design, I know).
The ...8.jpg in the middle is the one I like best because of the emphasis on the zebra.
Sans serif font might work better with the curves of the zebra. All caps might be good too.
Hi Mark Thanks for the feedback. I might try to widen the Zebra's eye so s/he looks a little more alert :-) You are right about the font - I just used the same font as our website uses to integrate it quickly. But will get a little more creative :-)
