I like your concept but I think you could try to use a different font. Those fonts look like fonts that are used all the time. The other thing I would change is the use of all the gradient color.
One or two colors may look classier and more trustworthy. And not to mention that it will also save in printing costs (if you decide to print in color).
I hope this helps!
Have read the other reviews and am suprised. I really like this.
I wonder what the reviews would say if nobody had ever seen the google logo and put it up here for review. Too many colours - looks too rainbow. Don't like the serif font etc etc.
Here are a few thoughts on first glance:
I like the way the T has been cut into by the other letters and this will work well both in b&w and colour.
I like the bold condensed font below. There is an awful lot of characters to sit below and this font works well to do this and stay legible at small sizes.
The shadow below the letters is a little off - the letters don't quite 'sit' on anything.
I like the sutble borders to the letters helping them to have contrast and punch.
I also like the reasoning behind the shape and think it works well.
The 'c' does look a little too close to the 't' by a whisker.
I hope this helps. I'm genuinely surprised that others don't like it.
Hey Ez
This is really smooth, I love the colors and the outline stroke the main font is very cool!
My only critique would be the shadow, it looks a little off, I would probably make it float a little maybe 1-2 pixels...
Other than that it's really distinct and direct, great job!
I think this is a great concept. Printing will be a huge chore though. I would simplify the whole rainbow effect. Try from the darker orange to the green in the graph, keep the irtc in green, and get rid of the highlight. Also move the c to the right a touch and make it a little narrower with the same thickness.
nicely done.....everything looks good to me
Good design!
While I like the design and I think it gives the upward investment idea well. I don't think it will screen-print or scale without immense difficulty.
edit: I meant to add an image example, but it doesn't allow me to after posting.
It's a pretty sweet design, you're onto something... but the the first 5 seconds I see it, I immediately think SCAMMY SITE LOOKING FOR QUICK CASH (because of it's colors)
Maybe go with red, dark blue, or black...
This doesn't say investment company to me at all. This looks like it could be an audio equipment production company or something like-minded. I second the trustworthy factor of the gradient as stated by the previous critic. Additionally my eye is drawn to "R" first before the "I" as if the "I" may be part of the mark (graphical element). The thin techy lettering also seems inappropriate for an investment company. The secondary font is more appropriate. I think you should leave some sort of gradient in the mark to keep visual interest although limit it to fewer colors. Finally always keep in mind that you will have to have a black and white version of any logo, so make sure your logo is strong enough without having to rely on color.
I hope this doesn't seem like a bash. It has potential, I just think it's all wrong for an investment company.
While I appreciate the thought put into this, I'm afraid I'm not a fan of this. I find the style looks quite dated. There's something about it that looks very 80s to me. Not sure if it's the rainbow gradient or the IRTC font (the R in particular), probably both.
The rainbow has got to go. I understand your reasoning, but I don't think it translates as well as you'd like.
I do like the overall shape of the logo though. It's obviously well done and the spacing and execution is nice, I'm just not a fan of the mark.
The concept is good. I like the concept of the "graph" going up from red to green and the font chosen. However, when I first looked, I missed the I and thought it was RTC (as someone else also said). But, I think you can easily fix that:
Add cross bars at the top and bottom of the I. If it is still a problem, then make the whole logo-type blue.
