    Overall beautiful and sober page

    Overall beautiful and sober page

    my 2 cents:

in footer why line spacing between lines?

Civil war image border: Image is going out of border

"More events" must be link in right bottom corner of the para

Our nation's reconrd block: ligh green text is getting merged with bg color

texts not visible, very dim font color and getting merged in bottom sections like About National Archives, Policies etc.

Connect with us button must be visible properly, looks like you are shodowing their original colors

    Nice Changes

Overall, I really like all the changes you've made since the last version. The revised footer looks great and I love the colour scheme. The body content for the front page is also much better organized than the previous version.

The only thing I thought worked better is the placement of the sidebar (tucked in with subtle shadows and the "Civil War" image standing on its own), but that's just a small detail.

    Great Work :)

    Main Image

I think the changes from the previous version are great, the muted colors give it a calmer feel and let you focus on the content more. That said, while I understand the premise of the new image and I also understand why you changed the last one, I think this one is a little too mundane in the sense that it doesn't engage or entice the user at all. I noticed it is a rotating show so it may just be that it shouldn't be the first image.
