    Button alignment

Very nice design overall, I like how your design gets "out of the box" with the content image, I would add a very subtle border or shadow to the main content box, so it stands out a little bit to separate from the background, also, I would align the buttons on the right column ("visit our gallery","read more" and "submit") to the right in order to give a little more balance to the design.

An original concept no dough. What I would do more to it is play with the typography a little (letter spacing, style etc.) Also I would stay with just the red and not add another color. The overall design is monochromatic, so I would use the red only for important parts, like you actually do. Stay to it.

Also since there is the banner area breaking the grid, maybe it would be a good idea to have more elements get "out of the box". That way the originality will stand out more.

The sign in and sign up buttons have a high contrast between itself and the buttons to the left. This will stand out to the people viewing your website so hopefully they will do either of those. I can't find much wrong with it; I like the design as a whole. Good work!

    Background too distracting

Posted on Jun 10, 2010 at 5:18 AM

    Love this one mate

My only major critisisim is the Background. The main panel is nice its compact but structured well and I like how the header image extends - it's neat. But the background just takes away from the modernity and clean simpleness of the page design and distracts me.

    Colours buttons etc are great

I think you'd be better off removing the bg and replacing with something less busy?

Nice concept but it needs some fixes. I can't say all of this because I need to see other pages.

I give you an advice: try to consider the eye's Hierarchy. I enter into this website and I see in order:

    1- WOA logo 2- foto 3- Chigago's fine art 4- sidebar 5- other

Is it right that the central part of the website has the lowest Hierarchy?

    Larger text

Posted on Jun 10, 2010 at 4:52 PM

I love the layout of this with the background image. It really draws you into the center. However, the text, which is really the important part, seems to get a little lost because it's small.

I also wonder if the top and bottom bars should be the same type (either split or one solid bar)
