Hi Alan,
I like your clean and ordered design. The only ironic feeling is that everything in your design is boxed and this does not support your tagline 'thinking outside the box'
Please find my usability remarks below:

1Not obvious that this is your portfolio
Probably because this element is not 'boxed' enough it blends with the website which gives the impression this is a part of design

2Move 'our work' link into the portfolio box
I would suggest getting rid of this separate 'screaming' black bar and moving 'our work' button to the end od 1 2 3 4 5 section in the above portfolio box

I have hard time picturing your prospect clients following you on twitter? People are usually so data overloaded anyway.

hi! concept is nice overall. Fonts are good but i wish you made gray colour a bit darker - it's hard to read, especially because of high contrast with black fonts.
As for top of the page like sth is wrong with alignment of logo and navigation bar. Try to move navigation box a bit higher or play with sizes of menu items
