    Confusing

I'm assuming the first image is your new design and the rest are previous designs.

Not too sure about this design, things that strike me immediately: 1. Not sure what the leaf image has to do with graphic design? 2. The text on the leaf is difficult to read and not easy to follow. List the steps as a straight forward list numbered 1,2,3 - it'll be a lot clearer for the user 3. The search box looks completely out of place

The colours work well and top navigation area looks good, however the login fields could possibly work better as a pop-up modal window which will make the top look less cluttered and allow you to move the search field here, where it conventionally goes.

Needs some more thought and work.

    My opinion on the design

I don't know where your redesigned one though, but let's take it one by one:

The 1st: To be honest, I am not too pleased with the design. The color concept used, I think it's better if you used gray only one time, like as the slider background and the rest of it black. It's just my subjective view. The typography used, for heading need to be bigger and have better line-height to match with the content below it. Some elements not positioned properly. I think you need to rethink about the search position + social network used. And the login input is too big there, you need to make it a little smaller The slider navigation I think it need to be centered to the slider, but if you just do it on purpose then I can't say anything, but please reconsider it again.

The 2nd: I loved it, the color combination used, elements positioning. It this design I think the tab design need to be improved.

The 3rd: I like it like the previous one, and the same suggestion goes to tab design again. And the logo need to be placed higher...

Hope you not feel offended with all of my writing :)

    Logo

I like the new design! One thing I'd improve on is the logo. I'm guessing you have spent much time working on it, but I just think it can convey the concept better. Good job!

    Hierarchy

I like the over all design few things I'd look at.

The header section. Currently it looks quite cluttered and tight up the top. There needs to be a bit more space especially around the logo (your previous version that was black green and white was better for this). Also the order of elements. The logo should be of high importance but currently the login area is above it showing higher importance.

Background: As one of the other posts mentioned the background colours, I agree try grey as just the background for the large image area and the rest black or a dark grey to black gradient. currently it looks very stripy.

Grid: I'm not sure about the placement of certain items. the header, small images and info at the bottom are all running the full width but the large image and text below it aren't (optically) I realise the left and right arrows make it full width but to me the whole thing appears out of balance. I'd make the image go full width and have the arrows on the image.

The text area below it also seems out of place as it's left aligned type but it's centred on the site and not aligned with anything. I would if it's centred centre the text, move the text to the left to align it with the rest or extent the text to run the full width (or show if over two narrower columns) and see what each of those looks like
