Thanks for appreciation. This is a custom design made Keeping in mind the flow of content as the target segment is from varied backgrounds. The overall concept was to have the same room with different scenes relevant to the content of the page..

Thanks a ton for your review.

Visually appealing, but not very accessible.

Posted on May 10, 2010 at 6:03 AM

This is a very attractive website and I can see you've put huge time and effort into it.

However, for me there are a few issues, and I don't think it's perfect.

The navigation is interesting, but I find it confusing and the images aren't quite right for me - for example I feel the toolkit should be used for "Workshop" as when I think of workshops, out of your images, that's the one I feel matches the word best. And as the words are not immediately obvious, the pictures need to 100% convey where each button takes you.

Additionally, you need to look at your padding. The body text is too close together, and too close to the edges of the boxes. It looks far too compact considering the huge amount of space you have on the left hand side. I think you need to decide whether you want lots of space and less content (for possibly a greater visual impact) or keep the same amount of content, but use up more space. As it stands, it looks a little cramped to me.

I also feel the alignment of the footer is strange, and bares no relation to the content above. The logo of your company doesn't really fit in with the design either for me, it looks like a second thought.

So to summarise, visually very appealing and attractive, but to work well as a website it needs some work.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. In navigation i Tried using toolkit for solution was to show that we have tools of expertise to all the web solutions we provide and workshop is where we want to say our story. so tried to relate it with the content on the page. Ill try to find out more relevant icons for the same..

yes the padding i can see, i really need to work upon. i will definitely try to reduce the content and give it more space to look healthy.

I will definitely consider your points and see how it comes out.

      Thanks

    More focus on design

Posted on May 11, 2010 at 10:46 AM

I love the perspective of the layout, the colors are beautiful and the textured background is very interesting. My only problem with it is that at first sight you don't get the feel that it's a design/marketing website.

Thanks for the review Yeh i understand the first sight problem. The reason I have used this grunge visuals was to show it as a Creative workshop. as our tag line also says "Creative Alternative Solutions"

Thnaks a ton for your feedback

    make your services links bigger

Posted on May 11, 2010 at 11:25 AM

I love the design, the blue makes me feel relaxed. But, if this is your company, you want to sell and you want readers of that page to buy. The links under "How can we help" need to be more prominent, the text on the right to the links drags the focus away. If I look at the site without reading anything, I think you are in the construction business.

    Hi Jaideep,

Great job on the website! The design is fun and easy to read.

I notice one thing - currently, the solid background color on the blog page doesn't match the bottom of the top background texture. On the blog page, I see a line between where the top background texture ends and the solid color at the bottom, but I don't see that problem in the "Our Work" section. Perhaps you didn't see it because your monitor is darker. I think if you change it to be the same as the background color on the "Our Work" page, the problem would be fixed.

One more thing - right now the logo (and the text around it on the white area) feels a little formal and standard "corporate" compared to the rest of your site - which is fun and creative. Perhaps play around with it a bit more?

    nice design

I like the design the textured background is looking amazing with the colors.

I have just one thinks when I look at it for the first time the brown box and the white box look like you put it to fill spaces but when browsing pages it seems beautiful, and I love it.

    respect the standards

Posted on May 10, 2010 at 2:53 AM

"A bunch of designers, engineers, and, marketers..." looks like a tag cloud so I tried to click on it, and I was confused, because it wasn't possible. That's what i mean with "respect the standards". The handwriting under the navigation is not really readable I like the navigation, but it could be difficult for people with sight disabilities to read the navigation points, because of to less contrast.

    I like it…

Posted on May 10, 2010 at 4:49 AM

    Hey Jaideep

This is a really nice site, great design and the colors work well together. I like the depth perception.

There are a couple of things that I would change, on the contact page the drum barrels that sit on the side look odd, I know it's a coffee table but the shadows aren't quite right.

I also think you would be better off integrating the google map into the page, as opposed to leading off to a google maps page, this takes people away from the site, better to keep them on it.

    Overall a great looking site!

Hey thanks for appreciation... and for feedback. I know Google Map is taking users away from the site ... but integrating the same on the website also has its drawbacks ... 1. It was not gelling with the design. 2. making he overall feel cluttered 3. increasing the loading time 4. and finally the purpose of having a map is to make it easy for users to find us... which was getting defeated because of its small size on the website.

Hence I had to take a call !!

Point well taken for coffee table ... its just tht we all luv coffee and drum barrels ;)
