    Less Javascript

Seems to be running a lot of javascript to get it to function w/ the elegance your desiring. I like how clean it is, and it's a very lovely layout. Good work.

Change The Nav Bar Hover Color

Posted on May 06, 2010 at 8:56 AM

Hi Andy, the new design you have done looks better than the previous version. Here is what I think will make it look better:

    1. Change Nav Bar Hover Color. The color grey does not complement the colors of the nav bar. I would say use a similar color to the one in the nav bar, but a different shade. Either lighter or darker.

    2. More space between different content areas. It looks cluttered and congested. I would suggest shorting the width of those areas because that will keep the parameters you set and create more white space.

    3. Make the search field smaller. On your other pages, the search field is way to big. Making it smaller will make it more practical and more appealing to the eye.

Overall, you did a good job and I hope that my feedback helps you.

I mean the homepage. The spacing in the content pages look fine to me.

i've added a second image with the search field showing - is that how you're seeing it - as it doesn't look too big to me.

In my Chrome, it looks really big. Have you viewed it in multiple browsers, if so than it could just be mine.

    Background

Very simple and clean... You can try some art abstract background instead of a plain white.

    Good improvement... All the best.

    Too many images

Posted on May 11, 2010 at 8:05 AM

I like the layout but I find the nav bar colour wrong and I am not keen on the font type used for the logo's and heading.

I find the main image too small relative to the small images/text. Maybe they need to be made smaller and leave the main image the same size. Just my preference. I find two rows too much, maybe one would look cleaner with more spacing, I just find too many images, etc too look at in a small space.

    Footer nice background image.

Thanks Euen for taking a look. "I find the main image too small relative to the small images/text" - are you referring to the slide show here?

      Andy,

Apologies for my lack of clarity. Yes, I'm referred to the slideshow at the top. Looking at it again, the size is potentially ok, it's perhaps 2 rows of further text/images what I find detracts from it and makes it appear smaller than it is.
