I actually like the cut of 'H' and 'w' and think it is pointing to a more contemporary feel.

I must prefer the third version in terms of balance. I find the second uncomfortable in the balance of the space around the name and I can see if you move it further down then it becomes too standard in format and it's nice to create a bit of visual imbalance to keep that modern feel. I think it's that it means the typography of his name doesn't flow well into the Photography at the bottom in the second and this is resolved in the third version whilst still keeping that modern feel.

Have added a file to show you what I mean but was wondering how it would work moving Giles down slightly so the 'e' starts to cut into the ascender of 'b' just to make it more distinctive and individual to Giles and pull it all together.

Let's see more of that H!

Since Giles Holbrow(?) is not a household name, I;m having trouble figuring out how to read it. Is it Holbrow? Tolbro? Iobrow? While loosing half the H might gain you style points, you lost too much clarity while doing it.

I do like the weighting of the typography - especially in the second (middle) version. And the square format, albeit unoriginal, works well here.
