    Font

Posted on Apr 21, 2010 at 9:13 AM

3, #2, & #5 are my favorites. I think those three would work as is however if you wanted something more original... #5 would look more related if you used hexagons like in an actual bee hive instead of the contemporary shapes that really don't relate intuitively . I dislike the font in #1 and #4 simply because it has no character or complimenting style. I think the drip in #4 is too playful to market toward corporate clients. Also with the color added, I think it would look better on light surfaces if the darker yellow in the gradient was the focus.

      Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for the feedback. I will rework #5 with hexagons ;)

Do you have any font suggestions for #1 & #4??

      Cheers, Sahus

Maybe something like "Century Gothic" or more bold like "Impact" I would modify whatever you choose to use though like the font in #3. Certain letters stand out giving it the feel all its own. Overall good work!

    Good stuff!

Really cool designs! My favourite would be #1 or #3. I'd suggest just playing around with the text a bit, maybe try the icon on top and the text on one line or bringing the text smaller next to the icon.

    Great logos though!

    alignment

Posted on Apr 21, 2010 at 9:21 AM

you have created a nice set of logos here.

All have their strengths, but my personal favourite is number 3.

i think this could be strengthened by aligning the N and V, they look like the are meant to be because they are so close.

      Hi Tom,

I hadn't noticed the alignment issue until your mentioned it. Yes it does look a little strange but i'm not sure whether I can align them both or increase the line height to take the imperfection away but I will try re-working this ;)

      Cheers, Sahus

    where's the "hive"

Posted on Apr 21, 2010 at 9:41 AM

5 is the best in my opinion, just add someting related to a hive, and make the yellow colour a bit darker.

The black and white version looks even better.

The third slope from the upper side (still at #5) is different than the others.

    prefer #3

Nice logos all round. 3 does it for me, however with wording from #1. #5 is nice too but doesn't match the sophistication of the others.

    #5 all the way

Posted on Apr 21, 2010 at 7:09 PM

5 is by far the best!

It works well both with and without colour, its has subtle complexity. The honeycomb look which is also a I and a H.

I wouldnt change anything about it........ its the winner hands down

      Hi Joe,

Thanks for the feedback. Yes I thought it was fairly obvious but having designed the thing i'm obviously going to say that. Do you think #1 could work if I re-worked the font??

      Cheers, Sahus

    Concept #3

Posted on Apr 22, 2010 at 10:23 AM

Concept #3 is my favorite. It's layout can be used in a variety of ways. I like the idea of concept #5 showing the "interactive" element, but overall #3 looks much nicer.

      Hi Josh,

Thanks for the feedback. Seems the favorites are #1 & #3, so I will make these two as part of the final round of revisions.

      Cheers, Sahus
