Photographer Site

I like the colors and layout. I also like the way the woman in the background bleeds through in your image. I checked the site and it does not seem to have the same bleed.

Very sexy portfolio site.

I don't like how you integrate the orange color, it really sticks in my eyes and pulls my attention away from the content.

I'd really prefer if you would order your typographic elements in grids, that'd bring much more structure to the site!

I looked at the rest of the site and it looks like all the images representing the galleries (the bride, the girl, the football player) suffer from blurry edges. It looks like a bad magic wand select with too much feathering. maybe use a quick mask to clean it up.

The grass background on the bride does make the thumbnails lose some of their borders, if it's possible, I would make it a darker green.

I would worry that the background image of the woman who is basically pealing off her shirt might turn off those people who are looking for someone to take portraits of their 3-year old. when you see the site, you are shown the woman background and the top of the wedding feature... in order to learn that the photographer does many more kinds of photos, they must scroll down. It may make impatient visitors think "oh this person does fashion shots and weddings...I'll keep looking"

im sorry for being that honest, but i can only see a design that reminds me of the early 90s.. very old looking with this whole typeface chaos and intense gradient.. sorry but it doesn't work for me .. i can only assume that the photographer is not that professional or the pics r old just by looking to this layout ... sorry again if i sounded mean

I like the colors and the Picture bleeding through in the background,

1.The vista nav, not so much, Its good, but i really dont think it fits the site, I would do something more like the gradient you put for his name. Just keep it dark.

2.I also think you should put the Twitter, facebook & contact at the bottom of the page. and have a contact link at the top of the navigation as well.

3.I think you should clean up the images more too, The toddler in one of them looks like he has a black glow >:D

I love the girl in the background but I'm finding her to be inconsistent with the rest of your images. It's a really sexy photo but the rest of the images are much more wholesome. I don't understand the message you are trying to send...

The site here doesn't match the quality of the photography. I would start with the background image of the black and white woman and just start the design from there. Make an ultra simplistic design that puts the photos front and center. The actual page design just doesn't work for me, the only thing that does work is the background image.
