I like the dead center logo, but it won't print well on multiple mediums.
There are two things you need to think about here:
1) Does it convey a feeling of movement and exchange? 2) Will it look good on many different mediums (including shipping crates, tracking documents, corporate letterhead etc.)
For me, none of these designs accomplishes those two objectives. They are great for the sake of design, but don't fit what this company does and what their priorities are.
Perhaps you should consider a design with some sort of stylized arrows? Or even make the text circular in some way? The effect can go cheesy easily.. so use your best judgment!
The top right one of the new set you made is my favorite. I love the homage to earth styled within the letters. Looks great.
I like the idea of the middle logotype. The AAW needs to stand out a little more IMO. Maybe make the circle and letters larger while still having the "tentacles" reaching out.
Very nice work for someone who doesn't design logos.
thank you, will see how this work after receiving these comments.
i like the colors that u used. i think it can be a bit more clear as to the objective of the company though...i think you are most on target with the first one (in the color, it makes it more interesting). In the last one, i dont think the text goes very well with the image. i would try a sans serif for a sleeker effect...
For someone who doesn't do logos you have done an excellent job. Very nice work. Very clean. Excellent process.
My favorite is the middle one. It has the most sense of movement. For me it begins to express the idea of import/export.. trade and travel..
The circular shape touches upon the idea of a globe
The left and right are, in my humble opinion, over designed. One would be great for an architect and the other would be fantastic for a yoga studio. Alas neither of these are speaking to the task at hand.
Consider the essential impression you are trying to transmit. These are images without meaning. Outside of being beautiful what are they transmitting to the seer.
Don't let my critique fool you.. you have done excellent work.. but i feel with your skills and ability you could knock this one out of the park..
These aren't bad but still aren't quite working. The objects in general are just overdone and take the majority of the attention instead of the name of the company being front and center. I would keep working on these and simplify the object in order to highlight the most important part of the logo.
First of all, the logotypes in all of these are an after thought. They were just stuck on.
Second, I see something very interesting forming in #3. The "W" is not there yet, but the form of the A is very engaging; I see part of a globe and wings.
However, the W just looks like blue leaves. I would suggest doing some more iterations of the 3rd one as it is the most interesting of the three marks.
I hope this helps // Maxim
Now that you mention it, it really does look like the blue leaves and makes it have no relation at all with the trade and export, hm.... thanks for the critique.
Hi,
My personal favourite is number 2, however the tentacles are just a little far reaching.
good work.
the second logo is definitely what i like. the AA over the W is very good idea but on the second image on the middle, the lines i think is excessive. maybe try doing just 3 lines.the third image on the middle, i think its a bit unreadable. you really have to focus to get what it means.
For me, the first image on the second line is great! nice work
The left one is nice one but might look so "generic" on business cards. The left works best as white on black background
the middle one is best in color but the tentacles go too wide also, it doesn't work well in b/w
the right one has a typical Arabic athmosphere to it. You wanted to achieve that or not? that black on white version works well.
Thanks, but Arabic? How's so? And no, I actually don't wanna achieve that for this project.
your letters resemble flower
Every time I had to create for somebody with Arabic roots, it had to have some likewise flowers or references to them in similar shapes etc... coincidence perhaps.
not my design but excellent example of what I'm trying to say :) http://z.about.com/d/tattoo/1/0/F/i/1/lotusflower.jpg
I got what you mean. Now it even makes me thinks it looks like a logo for one of food company >.< hehe, I got the feedback from the client and they chose the left logo, but somehow need a bit more revision. I'll see what I can do with this, I might post the revision here later. Thanks :)
I thought about the stylized arrow, though make the text circular in some way sounds worth a try, thanks :)
