Cool design, a couple of tweaks

Posted on Apr 18, 2010 at 7:44 PM

This is a cool design, here are a couple of tweaks

    1. Remove the numbers above the invites
    2. Add a thin stroke to the invites.
    3. Align the ad to the right at the top

Let me know if that makes sense or if you have questions.

Thanks Nate (a little bit late). Really appreaciate it. The only thing I can do from your feedback is to remove the numbers. Initially I used strokes for the Invites but was a pain in the a** for the coders since the names are variables and the platform does not support stroking on texts.

The blank space on the right is for the branding, I believe I should have explain that.

Anyways, always a pleasure to get some comments from your side. Cheers!

    clearer help menu

Posted on Apr 24, 2010 at 3:27 PM

I love this. It's really cute, fun and spot on for target market.

Would be very curious to see the variety of pets and what they are going to look like.

The main thing I'd like to see would be the addition of a help menu icon button on the right hand side navigation so where the music and sound on/off options are.

The icons along the bottom are super cute and look v intuitive to use.

Agree with Nate on removing numbers on invites and aligning the ad to the top right. The right space is larger than the left space around it so it looks a bit unbalanced.

    Side menu

Posted on Apr 22, 2010 at 8:45 PM

    ¡Hola Ezequiel!

I think you've got it right. This will be perfect for your target audience! There is just one thing that I'm thinking: Is it necessary to have the side menu there all the time? How about putting that in 1 'system' or 'settings' icon that expands when you click on it, so that you have more of your canvas available for the same and the interface looks a little less cluttered.

    With regards

    navigation

Firstly, a very nice page, really appeals to your target market.

My thoughts are around the bottom navigation, if you put your mouse over an icon does it tell you what section it goes to?

You want to cut down on thinking time, so clearly labelling graphical links like you currently have would help new users orientate themselves with the site.

      Hi Tom,

Thanks for your review. Thoug adding a tooltip on rollover is a good idea, this kind of games usually have some guideboxes when you play them for the first time and this is no the exception. Anyways, thanks for taking the time for doing a review, I really appreciate it.
