I like 4 the best. It's the most interesting and the leaf reinforces what the business is.
Everything in upper-case makes it more difficult to read and makes it look like a bank rather than a service.
The green on #3 is the easiest to read on a white background and also the most professional looking. Try using that with the leaf in it's original color for interest.
I agree #4 is the best because it adds something other than just text.
Can you incorporate the leaf into the text, like replace the "I".
You can make the text have a grass effect like this: http://www.garyslawnsprinklerrepair.com/Content/Images/GarysLawnSprinklerRepair-Logo.png
I like the centering and horizontal line on #2, but I also like the leaf on #4. Maybe combine them?
And use a darker green (like #3 or #6), the ligher version seems to "disappear" because of the slim font body.
Lawn care. Almost every logo for this market I see is terrible – usually because the company started with one guy and no budget for marketing. Your mark has potential. I would suggest keeping the leaf, but don't stick it outside your logo's main "home." You are extending the length of the logo too much. Besides, you want that leaf to be a bit more prominent than it is. When you put that on a business card, it won't be nearly as effective because it is so small. For #4, I would move the leaf below experience and to the left of lawn care and make it a bit larger. Maybe make it cover up some of "experience," helping to incorporate it into the logotype more. If you do this, I would give it a white stroke so it doesn't compete inside the word. Final note, I would kern "experience." You don't want to look like Dilliards lol.
The leaf reminded me of a logo for a foodbank: http://foodlinkny.org/
I can see how you could make a logo that represents "experience" such as a few small buildings with grass to line the footer. If they have been around long enough, I think they are ready for an icon. I would run more with your leaf idea. Make the leaf larger and rounder, place it to the left and do a little creativity to send a message that they work with businesses.
I guess I dont like that you are trying to symbolize elegance and professionalism through the font, when you have an opprotunity to develop an experienced brand with a icon.
Have a think about how this would show up on print or on black and white? The color green would be completly lost.
I like what you are trying with number 4 with the leaf, but at that angle and placement it appears to me more of as a flag.
Look at how you could change one of the letters to reflect a lawn. For example maybe change the I in experience to a leaf or tree. Or have the X as a four leaf clover.
None of these are unfortunately hitting the spot for me. I think you have a lot of imagery that you could play with on this topic. Keep working with it and be creative.
