Straight away you can start redesigning the layout. From Branding to Footer(there is no footer) everything needs to be changed. Just before starting the design take some time to see some references and learn about current trends as well...

      Thanks!

Why the footer is so important? Is there any idea behind it or is it just a trend? I mean - if I can put all the necessary information above the fold - why to duplicate it in the footer and to make the interface busy if too few people will see and use it anyway?

    Messy

Posted on Apr 12, 2010 at 10:16 PM

While I think this idea of this website is great, the design just isn't really hitting that spot for me:

    1. Looks a bit mess and unorganized.
    2. The Home page doesn't really explain what the site is all about
    3. The alignment is off. The logo should be moved all the way the left and the items within all the content area should be aligned left.
    4. Everything just feels a little boring, plain and uninteresting. You need to spice things up a bit.

I am not trying to discourage you, just set you on the right path.

    Usability

Posted on Apr 13, 2010 at 9:30 AM

Users need to understand concept first. Than you can introduce them into layout and other functions.

I would also try to funnel new users via some kind of a wizard instead of throwing them into deep water.

    Good luck

I am guessing this is a store

Posted on Apr 16, 2010 at 3:21 PM

Just based on the pictures i would not have guessed this to be a remote printing service, you might want to adopt a landing page that takes advantage of AIDA concepts and a video as well so people can quickly learn what your site is about.

    Layout

Posted on Apr 19, 2010 at 8:05 AM

All in all the placement of the elements it looks very much like the typical, boring windows explorer layout.

Too much choices There are a way too much option points in the sidebar. Reduce it to max. 5 Elements. Too much choices slow the users down.

Try to put yourself in the situation of your user. What is the PRIMARY goal a user has coming to your site? Which tasks would leed him to complete this goal? Which choices does he need to take? Try to think over this questions, ideally test your layouts with real peole in real life situations. Ask them what elements they would klick, what features they would use.

Then you should reduce functionality according to this feedback.

    Good luck!

    Make it more exciting

Make people happy to use your site. Now it looks too boring, like an office document.

    Plain

Posted on Apr 10, 2010 at 6:38 AM

The layout seems pretty boring. This looks more like a system operating, not a website. I would suggest you to start over. Browse more website in this industry to get some inspiration on what you could change and make it better. I would also suggest you to play around with the text and color. Add some interesting main image to attract visitors attention. This could be better. Good luck :)

      Thank you for the review.

Actually, it was made so simple with purpose - to avoid visual noise and to dispense with bells and whistles. But I agree, it could be done in more exquisite manner.

    Something to draw people in

Posted on Apr 11, 2010 at 5:24 PM

The design seems like it would be clear and easy to use. However it is missing any nice design features to draw the user in. In particular it might be working with the navigation system to highlight some of the more important area's that you'd like to highlight.

      Thank you for your review!

We definitely will come up with some kind of importance highlighting and differentiation.
