To be honest this needs a LOT of help. Not trying to put you down or anything but I suggest you read some web or graphics design blogs where you can hopefully learn good design.

The Frankenstein look is kinda hard to look at. Sorry.

    everything

I was a bit shocked when I saw this one, there are way to many colors on this design. The purpos of a design is to bring the attention of the user to a specific point, and from there to another point of the design/website. In your design I don't know what to focus on first.

also the navigation of the second screenshot is transparent and makes it unreadable.

Sorry to say but this is the kind of website designer made when images were used for the first time on the internet which is like.... a VERY long time ago.

but a review is only worth something if you personally learn from it, so I strongly advice you to read the following articles which will give you the basic to more structured designs:

    http://blog.themeforest.net/tutorials/tips-for-creating-high-selling-templates/ http://blog.themeforest.net/tutorials/the-importance-color-in-web-design/

and here is an article you should defenitly read: "75 rss feeds any designer should follow" http://www.visualswirl.com/2010/03/75-rss-feeds-designer-follow/

also google for 960 grid system, will be very helpfull, believe me

Colors are grating and the overall layout is chaotic. What is the goal of the site?

    Wow...

Posted on Apr 07, 2010 at 1:09 PM

Hey Justin, that is alot of colours, images and wow for a website. The only advice that I could really give you is to keep it simple, 2-3 images, a couple colours and something that's catchy but not overbearing. Good luck man.

    Start fresh

Posted on Apr 07, 2010 at 8:58 PM

Unfortunately I think there are enough problems with this design that you need to start over on it. It looks very dated and amateur'ish. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the design. At points the typography is barely readable (Including the navigation) and in general just lacks consistency across the board. I don't mean to be negative, everyone has to start from somewhere. Take a look at some other site out there to gleam some inspiration and start fresh on this design.
