    focal point

    Hey Miro,

firstly I think your first version wasn't as "bad" as people was saying because you brought originality to it, and i believe striking is good, you want the car to stand out.

this version is more "finished" and professional overall.

    1. I like what you've done with the white space, and you could most likely apply that concept to the entire car.

    2. brand focus, firstly only one logo on the front. on the side i'd give the logo more authority (space and size). the rear is the best, but i'd still add a bit more space below the logo.

    3. try to only have one logo color, i think by having more white like the front will help achieve this.

    4. Random thought, I like the way police cars and ambulance cars pop, simply but effective.

good luck, and I like the out the box thinking ;-)

Greg, many thanks! I am just waiting for the client to say at least something about this version of the design. BTW, I was actually serious with the first design (even though client maybe didn´t see that). Because, I was thinking that if the car is seen only for a couple of seconds, there has to be something that makes one to take another look.

hey Miro what about if you try to transmit the concept in a different way, for example if your customer is a restaurant, use the kitchen to get the attention is a bad idea, maybe you will try to get a pic that shows a delicious plate of food that people think, I have to taste that.. same thing here, why I could call these guys??? because I want to get my CARPET NICE AND CLEAN, I don't care how they will do it,

maybe you can use a beautiful woman seated on a nice clean carpet, a family enjoying time, a baby, etc...that option depends of your customer..

    good luck :)

Thank you very much for the ideas! However, in this case I think that the client wants a cleaning woman. This is an open competition and the client has given best points to that kind of designs.

    Slightly better

It appears that your are going for kind of a cheesy/fun look to this. That is ok, except I think you are trying to mix two styles. Most of this van looks very professional but then you have a pretty cheesy picture on it. I think you need to choose one or the other. I would move toward the more professional look or maybe an illustrated picture of a cleaning person.

Hi, Nate. Yes I was quite happy when I found that picture. But I don´t know if it was because of the woman or the rest of the car - I only got 1/5 starts from the client. I don´t think it was that bad, he gave 5 stars to a rather similar wrapping. Thanks for the review!

    not great

Posted on Apr 07, 2010 at 12:45 AM

The picture of the woman does not look interesting to me at all. She is neither good looking nor friendly... Also, the color is not attention grabbing...can you do it on blue background? The company name is also very difficult to read, especially when it's front of the car

Hi, Bryan. No I can not change the car to blue, green is the company color. Neither the client liked my car :-D

    Well thought along

I liked to see, that you used a mirrored Version on the hood.

I would try to posterize the image, so that it looks more like a graphic rather than a photograph. So you can harmonize to concept - just saying.

    Play with colour

Posted on Apr 07, 2010 at 10:17 AM

Looks like you are going for a minimalist idea with the design which is great, but you may need something else for the background than just a solid colour.

If the client is going to pay for a colour print, I would suggest adding more colour :)

    Just my opinion though.

Good opinion, this was the first time I ever tried to design a car, so I wasn´t so good at it...
