This really shows that you know what you are doing as a designer, but in areas this design looks really busy. Often times you don't give enough separation between the imagery and all of the content. I also noticed some times that you try to include actual descriptions within the imagery, it doesn't really work that well. Put the descriptions elsewhere. Lastly there are some times that you put the images to the right of the content (itorama_14interior.jpg) when I think it would work a lot better on the left. Overal this is a good beginning but could use some simplification and refinement.
The whole package looks fantastic, but I think you should rethink the front page, there is too much stuff in it.
Hello Allen,
I have to say that your design looks stunning! It's fresh, colourful and playful but yet seems to radiate a level of professionalism. Maybe add some sort of indicator to the menuitems that there are subitems though?
I am a bit worried about the amount of content on some of the pages though (Home and About us A for example).
There are so many different images of all sizes on the home page graphic that my eyes are having some trouble choosing just where to focus first, especially the smaller screens coming from the right of the Apple Cinema Display make me lose my focus of the 'Digital Marketing' bubble. I do like how the graphics on the other pages have the section in big lettres with other key words floating in the bubbles.
About the about page, I think that adding some whitespace between the bolded section header and the actual content would give it a less busy allure. I like the amount of space between 'A member...' and the text.
Overall I have to say this is a very nice job
Great Design mind blowing!
I really like it overall!
Just a few comments:
The little blue pixel square collage on the bottom right of every page, means nothing and doesn't add anything. It also is beginning to make the page too cluttered. I would get rid of it and widen your text column.
I would also get rid of the CMYK lines at the bottom of your text column. It's pretty specific to print design and you're offering much more than that, so it doesn't make sense. It'll also help with de-cluttering.
I don't think the 3D/angle text works on the "Graphic Solution", "IT Solutions" and "Photography" pages. To me it seems to come out of nowhere and doesn't go with the rest of the design. I would keep it consistent.
The montage on the "Design Solution" page has a bit of an 80s feel to me. I think it's the combo of triangles with pastel gradient and angled multiple lines. That was everywhere in the 80s. Not in a good way. If you're going to keep the angled lines, make the pencil the same angle. It's just slightly off now.
Your portfolio pages are great. Very clean and simple, no clutter.
The client list section is awesome, but seems a little over the top as far as functionality. Just give me a list, I don't need to click through a bunch of different things just to see who you worked with. At the very least, keep it to just the different areas you offer (Interior design, photography, etc...), but the sub-sections seems a bit much (travel & accommodation, real estate, etc).
Great job!
Thank you Stephanie! I really appreciate your feedback, especially about the look and feel. There's so many services at Itorama, and it's been quite challenging for the design team to balance giving each service section it's own character without departing too much from the overall site character.
This design is superb; I think you have hit the mark on almost every level. The design comes across as professional, yet unique. The layout is creative, yet structured. I can't give this design any constructive critisicm because I think you've got it to near perfection for the purpose.
This is good, but also I feel that there is a lot going on. Design is important, but I can't help to feel that it will inflict on the usability of the site when you mix design and menus as has been done here. But then again - I'm pretty conservative ;-)
As everyone else has stated the home page is pretty busy. I like the big solid colors and pixelated look. Maybe if focused on those elements and typography you can make a great design.
cool concept Allen, but at first view I thought this concept was created to be printed and not to be published as a website. On a big screen it has to looks amazing, but what about the smaller ones? maybe visitors have to scroll down and to the side, or if your create your website with a low res (1024 x 768) your layout could loss its purpose on big screen,
as I said before this is a good quality design, but the concept of the first 8 images is a little different from the other ones, the latest ones could be easily adapted to a scroll down format.
good job Allen
The first thing that came to mind when viewing the design was, why the blue pixel thing?
I love the header graphic, although you may want to emphasise your main thing, and tone down the rest a little. Although the other versions do cover that i suppose.
I agree with what someone said about the 4 colour bar as thats for print.
Great design you have and to be honest there is very little to pick at in the design.
I normally hate white backgrounds. But it works well here because you have enough color elsewhere. The large font is perfect ! It's a classy design.
The only thing that bugs a little (and I do mean only) is the light blue/gray header and footer. Because the background is white it almost seems a little too light. I wouldn't go much darker but maybe pick another color on the page to tie it in with...
I really do not have anything new to say that already have been mentioned before. Just clean a little bit so its more easy for people to find right away the main information. I would recommend a site map just in case someone does not want to play with all the links.
everything is going good but when i came to last(footer) its very simple comparing to header. something can be done there.
this is totaly awesome, however, I think it could be a bit more subtle and you how very well how to do that.
Great Job!
Overall it looks great! and definitely a huge improvement on the current website.
But let the graphics breath .. It's all too much together, not enough white space. That especially goes for the first 6 images.
I think the company/website offers too much, I would split them in different websites/departments, at least interior design and IT solutions should not be there... maybe link graphic design with photography, web solutions and digital marketing... my opinion :)
I like the main graphics, but would not make the title 3D like "Graphic Solutions" is, I would rather apply to all the same you did for "Digital Marketing"
Overall, the typography lacks, looks like the main graphics were made by a different designer and the website layout by another
What is the website supposed t do for your client? get more leads? I don't see any Call-to-action, no phone call, no "Contact Us Now" or "Get a free quote" button... I think will miss a lot of potential clients...
Love the design - lot of creativity running out in headers , althouh the site looks a bit busy .
I also suggest a change in navigation style ? The sub navigations etc.
Great design, great colours but the text content seems to be taking a back seat.
Very interesting design and the overall package works really well. My only concern is that the homepage as no real attation grabbing element like the other service pages.
The main title on itorama_03interior.jpg is very strong.
The design would also benefit from a 'call to action' on the homepage/service pages.
