I like the layout. It is clean, slick and easy on the eyes. But "Freight Forwarding Business"? Thats the last thing I would guess, I would guess on a lawfirm or something.
...is the combination of colours. The main brown with the orange and green just feel good to my eyes.
Though the layout it's pretty clean I find it too template-like and I have to agree wit Jamie's comment, looks like a law firm indeed.
The serif-fonts are a good idea, maybe you can keep them on the navigation bar as well as on paragraphs. A serif font is always better to read.
Play around a little more with navigation bar.
Hey Ezequiel, thanks for your comment. I tested the serif-fonts as you said, but unfortunatly it didnt work. But im playing with the navigation bar, ill post the result soon.
I think overall i like the piece. There is something that seems off to me though. I think it is the right column and the content area not lining up at the top. Also, the logo doesn't seem to match the design at all. I know you may not be able to change the logo but should you match the logo with your design?
Hey Nate, i changed the right column align, and you were right, it worked. About the logo, i really tried to match the logo and the design, it`s not a easy task because the logo is kind of too old and big. Thanks for the feedback :)
The footer looks like a simple afterthought.
I'd like to see some quick links there, contact information and other standard stuff like "terms of use", "privacy policy" and/or copyright information.
Hi Mark, youre absolutely right, im working on it. Thanks :D
Overall, I really like it! As Nate mentioned, the logo doesn't really fit with the rest of the layout. One way to remedy this might be to style the buttons differently so that they are in harmony with the logo (ie. a different shade of green or a more paper-like look). These are just suggestions, though; play with it and see what happens :)
For the footer, I'd recommend adding a top margin to separate it from the sidebar. That way the elements are clearly defined and there is some extra whitespace.
Hi Serina, already did what you said about the footer and its really better, now i`m testing some different styles of buttons. Thank you for your suggestion! Really aprecciated.
I like the design and concept you are going for, but there are a few things I think you should consider.
The Footer does not blend well with the site. To me it seems out of place and takes your overall good design down in the looks department. Try to make it blend more with the design style of your page.
The design and logo clash. I think a more vintage design would be better for that type of logo.
Hope my feedback helps.
Hi Jamal, im working on the footer as I already said. The client asked me to make something modern, and honestly its hard to make something modern with this logo, so im trying to make things modern making the text easy to read, the layout not too crowded and adding some soft details. Thanks for your feedback really aprecciated :)
I like the layout of this site, but the design is a little too flat. Consider adding a drop shadow behind the logo and a very slight vertical gradient in the navigation bar. To maintain the classic look that I think you are going for, output your photos with a few pixels of white space as a border. Then, with CSS, add a thin dark border around the entire image to make the matting effect. The green and orange buttons stand out above everything else and I'm not sure you want that to happen. To make them more subtle you could introduce these colors into the rest of the page for balance.
Hey Andy, I want the buttons to stand out, maybe not that much, many clients were having trouble trying to find these links and theyre really important. Ill take your advice, i`ll try to balance the colors. Thank you :)
Hey Jamie, thanks for the comment. Actually i think i went this way of "lawfirm" because of the logo, it
s too old as you can see. Well, ill make some adjusts based on what you said. Thanks
