I do actually agree with Nate's comments, I would suggest looking at ways that you could be quite clever, with this logo. Fortunately the P is commonly well known with a Parking symbol...
I would look at simplifying this, something like the below...
Good Luck!
Unfortunately I don't think any of these are really working. They are too busy and complicated. The logo has to be simple, memorable and easy to read. None of these really hit that spot for me.
i like aaran casey's P with the fin in it- if you go with something like that id add a water line to the base of the fin. the city water lines are a bit confusing.. your 6th version is on the right track.. i think the car's shape could be more attractive and shark-like.. here's a different attempt at melding car and shark.. im jealous you get such a fun project to work on, hope ive been of some assistance to you :)
Hi Peter,
If I had to choose among these six. I like the symbol of 6 the best. I would maybe search for a more readable typeface combination as the word "shark" in "ParkShark" is loosing out.
I like the concept of 2 yet maybe if you showed more versions. 1 is a bit to general and busy. With 3 at first I thought the shark was the heal of a womans shoe. 4 and 5 are a bit to busy as well.
I also like Aarons idea with the P and the fin. That would work much better for a logo and combines the parking sign feel to it as well.
I look forward to seeing new versions after the suggestions from everyone.
Hi Peter,
It was nice start with the logo you created and I would recommend to work around the aaran suggestion and come up with a simplify option
Simplicity, concept to heavy.
I don't really like any of them if I'm being honest...
I like number 6, it's simple and looks good in black and white. The rest of the designs are too cluttered and complicated. What I would change on #6:
The color. Yellow doesn't work well, since blue symbolizes parking. Change the yellow to a nice blue, I personally think either one from #2 works well.
Move the fin of the shark down a little, and make it smaller.
Make the bottom line of the front window to be parallel to the upper one.
Change the font. Even though this one looks OK, I'm sure you'll find a better one. Just look at font round ups from various blogs like smashing magazine (in this case a magazine).
Think about what the logo will look like in a smaller size. Sleep on the logo for a few days (this works well for me, I don't know about you) and look at it again. Chances are you will see I few things I haven't listed that you want to change, or what you don't like about the logo. Maybe you'll want a different logo all together. Maybe think of a logo which symbolizes more accurately what "Park Shark" does, since I only found the answer to that by reading the info.
Hope this helps and good luck! Eric
Like Ezequiel said, it has to be memorable. Your proposals are all to busy. Try to get a concept using just black. I think you have a possibility with number 6. Play with it more.
Hello, a brand should be simple and memorable, remember is the ID of a company/product. I think there are too many elements on the compositions that make them messy and hard to remember.
Maybe you are in a good path on number 2, keep going that way.
Best,
Eze
i like third - i find it like interesting idea another good is 6
but i think that both needs more work
3 is my fav. simplify the waves. I'd actually like to see a combination of #3 and the concept posted by Aaran below.
Number 3 is definitely the best but its to complex. Make the waves a lot smoother and make the gradient less gradient, do not do such a big color jump.
Also work on the sharks fen, the idea is nice but lose the reflection and use a dark grey instead.
Also great logos shouldn't depend on shadows, or other "photoshop" effects, so lose it.
Not realy logos... Too crowded, hard to understand. Maybo go for an U shape to symbolise parking and a shark inside it. Just off the top of my head...
Oh, forgot: very bad choice with the .mobi domain - that's for sites designed for mobile devices, not cars...
I like number tre logo, I advise you not to use shades
perhaps a shark driving a car or something along those lines.
I really like the simplicity of this, and i think it could be improved by putting the ParkShark below the P, and making it in the blue colour most parking signs are...
Nice work.
