I really like the retro dull colors, it mixes in well with the background color. I gave you 3 stars for purpose as I'm not sure what the circles have to do with your anniversary, but they do look cool anyway. Overall Good work!
While I like the design itself, it doesn't say "Happy Birthday" to me. However, I'd imagine you know your girlfriend best! I like the design itself, I just don't see it as engaging- so if you think the point comes across, I like the design.
Hello there Joseph,
The point is to give her a present that fits to her tastes. That's why I think she'll like it.
Thanks for the feedback.
I like the design in general, nice coloured textured background to set the dull retro colours. If she is the kind of girl who likes the retro look then she will love it. Much better than a birthday card from a shop, so will will love it as it came from you heart.
I like it, you could have made it more interesting with a better texture in the background that also comes through on the circular shapes.
Hi there Nate,
Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep experimenting with textures as you suggested.
Regards.
I love it, looks like oldstyle products poster! And if the circles represent balloons, everything it's said. Thumbs up!
...doesn't Emilie start with é? ;o)
Love! I wish my bf was a designer to make me something like this! The only thing I might do is add a really subtle texture to the flat circles. It'll give it just a little more interest, and not read quite so flat.
love the colors. Gave a 5 on purpose because a girl would love these colors. My wife would.
This poster could use more gradients and better color solving. Looking at this graphic I really don't fell birthday atmosphere. But I can't deny - it's very orginal.
Hello there Mateusz,
Thanks for the feedback. But I don't get how gradients and colour solving will help this concept. Could you please be more specific?
Thanks.
I like the poster. The vintage looks pretty sweet it reminds me of the minimalist movie posters i've seen on the internet.
Reading your feedback on others I see how she would like this.
I can really see this on a stetched canvas, to maintain the the classic 1970's style.
Plus I agree lose the url your not really sellying your girlfriend anything that she needs to see on your website. Maybe add it for your portfolio but not for part of the gift.
Hello Dustin,
Thanks for the feedback. I'll take your advice on url into account.
Regards.
It's fine. I love very much retro-vintage and you made awesome work. as for birthday mood (or its absence)... I am sure that we know our friends and their tastes (for this they are our friends) and i do not see any reason Metin's friend will dislike the fine gift. And I am not so sure, no, lets say I am sure that gradients (it was mentioned in previous review) shouldn't have been used here. Style the work is done doesn't suppose gradients to my opinion...
Well, personally I don't this birthday card is suitable for your gf. This typeface looks professional and somehow it doesn't fit with a birthday card. The vintage color makes me feel sad..
Sorry, my english is bad and i don't know if you understand me ^ ^"
I think it's a very refreshing approach to a birthday card. This seems to have some permanence in mind. By that I mean that it is something that she can leave up year round to enjoy.
Small suggestion, what would the name look like if you put circles over the two "i"'s in her name? That might help tie the name in more with the circle pattern down below.
interesting concept but i don`t understand what will make her happy about this present. it can be good decoration of interior but like a present on birthday not. Maybe you should play with your photo and make of them your silhouette for poster and show your feelings to her?
Hello there Kiril,
First of all thanks for the feedback. As she's kinda into such shapes and colours and only a friend of mine, I think this would make her happy and be much better than a birthday card.
Hello there Matthew, thanks for the feedbacks. My friend is kinda obsessed with vintage colours and round shapes. Therefore I came up with such a concept. By using shar-edged letters for the name and tagline, I wanted to create a contrary feeling. thanks again.
