"Get Quotes" button more integrated in design

Posted on Mar 10, 2010 at 2:33 AM

Design is clear and health related at first sight. Get Quotes button doesn't seem to be part of the same website.

Thanks for your comments. Can you please elaborate how Get Quotes is not in proximity of the design. My idea was to keep it in contrast for more perceived affordance.

I see it that's ok but I have the feeling that the button is like a pop-up ad.

Maybe you could test using the green colors on the logo for the button's background color.

    Spacing

Posted on Mar 10, 2010 at 6:33 AM

Really like the overall look: simple, concise, with a clear and direct sense of purpose.

With something this cleanthough , things start to look cramped quite easily. The main button needs some breathing room, and that could also go for the headline and sub.

Also, reduce the length of the lines near the kid. Reading across the screen like that gets pretty hard.

    I like it

The second concept is the best, here is what I might do:

    1. I would move the two sections at the bottom to the top and put the form under those two sections.
    2. Fade the right and left edges into the white.

Great work so far, I like the direction of this.

Thanks a lot for your comments! Actually it is the same concept. where the add family details are hidden and would be a AJAX request in place. This helps to bring focus on the GET QUOTE button in the first fold. However the two sections @ the bottom can't be at the top since the primary goal of the website is to SEarch insurance Plans :). What do u suggest now?

Well if they are just sections that expand, I wouldn't put a repeating background behind them across the width of the page. I would confine them in some sort of box, make sense?

u r talking about the grey BG beghind the Family items? If yes then i agree. I have already updated new options which were created alongside without the grey BG. The Search stuff is already inside one white box and tht's where the family details are opening too as suggested by you. What say?

I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about, i'm getting confused. But the second version here seems to work. I'd say give the header a little more space to breathe and align the header to the left.
