Looks good. Like the header. I am assuming for sake of a mockup that the 'Subscribe Here' box is white you just wanted to see how it looks. If it would follow the same colour scheme as the rest of the page I would think it would look better.

This is a good rough start but there are a few things that need some work:
- The green label on the left hand corner doesn't look right. Make it look more realistic.
- Think about putting the background swirls on the header behind the entire page as a more prominent background texture.
- The date tab looks a little strange. It doesn't actually look like it is folding around the top.
- The links are overlapping the tab at the bottom.
- Give the tab at the bottom of the post the same style as the top tab.
- Your right column is too detailed. Make it more simple so it doesn't take more focus then the content area. 7 Keep working on the footer, looks very plain
- Put a subtle drop shadow on the entire page so it pops off a bit.

Newsletter subscriptions looks like it has been un-styled it introduces blue not used any where else on the site maybe the orange from the tabs would work a little better over there or the green from the top corner. Can you get an images in those posts i feel the left column is just a little bare but coming along well
