nice logo, i think the 2nd is the best. I feel the main-typo is a bit to thick, it takes too much attention.
are you planning to have a single-colour version as well?
I think you should have a centered and a 'original' version of the logo. There may be occasions where the print-area is smaller, so to maintain the logo size you might wanna have an alternate version. I also have got more used to the font-size and is not much of a deal anymore :)
I love the typography on the name and the text below it so much!
The only thing I would change is the border of the box to the left, and I would also lighten the colors inside (I like the last two for the small box colors).
To me the typography is so elegant, while the box on the left contrasts by seeming a bit "cluncky" and heavy.
The reason I have given an originality rating of 2 is that the concept of the box is not unseen (Bluehost logo). this is by NO means a bad thing though, I have rated purely on originality.
I hope I could help!
Really helpful! Don't know if you saw tha last upload I've done, as I did it by the time you commented. I've put the box on the center. I'm still studying the colors but I'm liking the lighters (is the spelling right?) too.
Thank you!
I'm glad I could help a bit :)
No, I didn't see the latest when I commented, but I see it now :) Spelling wise lighters would mean the thing you light your cigarettes with, I think you would say "lighter ones", but you English is fine, don't worry :)
I think I should have made it clear that I have a problem with the purple border altogether. I tried a few variations out, and I found that if you use the HSB colorspace, values with a Saturation of 71% and a Brightness of 93% work best. If you enter these and change the hue, I love the values near the orange, olive green and red values.
I tried a few variations in Photoshop and I liked it if the border of the box is #edb445 in hex color.
Also, I might like it better if the box is next to the name on the left, but I'm not sure on that :)
1st one made the most positivie impression on me. I'm particularly fond of the colours and typeface(for name) you chose for this concept. They make the concept outstanding. However, the placement of name and tagline seem to be a drawback for this concept. Maybe a way around this could be placing name, surname, and tagline above each other separately next to the graphic.
Probably someone else has a better idea about this. Do whatever you want to do with the placement of elements, but don't blend the graphic into the text nor change the colours and typeface.
good luck.
Thank you! Sorry because my english isn't that good, but what did you mean with "blend the graphic into the text"?
you know sometimes we designers like to create letters out of shapes. here I wanted to advice that trying square shape as letter will not make any good for this concept. hope this helps. good luck mate.
I think the dark border and light "pixels" are detrimental. I'd also enlarge the graphic and shrink the type. Try playing with some more color combos too. Good choices on the typography though!
I like the second, here are few thoughts I had though:
Keep tweaking this a bit...
The text is fine so I'd do more work on the mark.
Somthing just doesn't feel right and I think it's the colors. They just don't 'pop'. I also think that stroke of the box is little too think. Maybe lessen it about 1 or 2 pixels? Try experimenting with the golden proportion on that one.
I think this 1 is very original can maybe use some finetuning in the colors , I would personally change the light yellow and yellow color . Then you will get a more eyecatching design.
I think the type is alright. The problem is the box on the left. See if you feel it better with the box on the center.
