    Not much...

Posted on Feb 18, 2010 at 3:25 PM

I really think that you did a very good job on this! I can only come up with a few suggestions..

    1. When I hover 'Choose Your Brand' I feel that the drop down menu should be underneath instead of off to the side.

    2. The mouse should change to a hand (cursor:pointer;) on hover.

    3. It seems like you could find a way to use the empty space below the easy search (on pages other than the home page). It just feels a bit empty.

    4. The listed brands on the home page do not seem like links. It looks like a static list of brands you carry, not like links to their respective pages. Maybe find a way to make this a bit more clear.

Overall a very well done site in my opinion!

    Lookin' good...

Posted on Feb 19, 2010 at 8:13 AM

This is looking good but could use some help in a few areas.

    1. You have a very busy design, you need a much simpler image for your header.
    2. Reduce the amount of ink blots. A couple ink blots is cool but when you have so many that they are loosing their uniqueness.
    3. Try to simplify the content area a little more.
    4. Take the disclaimer out of the green bar and put it below the page. I like the green bar so keep the navigation in it and increase the font size of the nav.
    5. You could use a little more line height in all of your text.

Great work here, I love where it is going!

    Footer

Posted on Feb 25, 2010 at 3:47 AM

The first thing that needs tending to is the footer. Specifically the wrap-around being used down there. What's it holding onto? You should wrap it around the entire content area, or not at all.

I'd like to see that giant image changed to something with a vector style to match the rest of the page's theme or at least change the colors to generic printer cartridge colors (magenta, yellow, and blue?..).

Great use of colors and white-space.

In general, LOVE this! Fantastic design and concept. A few things:

    1. your second page 'environmental benefits'--- the area where you've got icons and then text to the right of them--- the text blocks don't really balance with eachother. Some have a few words, some are three lines, you've got a single hanging word on the second one...a little off balance.

    2. LOVE the ink splatter and color scheme in general. Also I really like how you've got the green boxes jumping out with a 3d-ish effect to them- very nice.

    3. Ink splats great everywhere except on homepage for recycling symbol---- it makes sense to have them for 'shop online' and other areas that you want to draw attention to with the orangish ink splt--- also makes sense for the cmyk page but on the recycling sign?? seems off, doesn't make sense why it's there.
