    The silhouettes

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 12:26 PM

The logo is well done and so is the background.

I would go very dark with the silhouettes and ground. Try to sort of embed it into the design, sinking it deep into the background. I know that may sound a bit vague. But right now it sort of blinds me when I look at it, when the focus should be on the calendar itself. It should be more background, evoking emotion, not drawing attention.

    Welcome to CF!

I see what you mean, thanks for taking the time to comment, I agree that i should blend the image and background while making the calendar stand out more. Cheers

    Logo is good

but silhouettes are out of background concept. Than background is out of logo style and all this concept looks like mosaic of different projects. So i think you should try to do concept in logo style. Hearts can be nicer and maybe like stickers background modern one color or gradient like logo with swirls like behind persons.

    Blood Splatter

    Hi Ash :)

Congrats on the first submission and good talking the other day..

The background is grungy as all hell, I think if you replace it, align the red colors so that they are all the same hue and reduce the strength of the grass whilst at the same totally covering the flat surface, you'd be on your way :)

That being said, the logo/type for the top right is cool!

    Cheers

    the ground

it kinda looks like they're standing on someones hairy arm.

i don't care much for the way the hearts look, either.

    i do dig the silhouettes.

    Keep real image instead silhouettes

Will try some real time images to create more attraction.

Since its a romantic template try some vibrant colors for background.

    Logo was awesome...!

    Good try...will do more better..!

    Too much

Posted on Feb 18, 2010 at 7:25 AM

I don't think you were successful in making this "romantic but not overwhelming". It's just too much with the hearts, the red colors and the font. Also, the ground looks like a persons arm with hairs sticking up...looks a little strange. I think it's just the color of the ground, sort of peachy.
