    The name!

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 2:44 PM

    I prefer #1 or #2 -

    Still needs some work...

The Eudaimonia font is clean and nice - the WELLNESS needs something... something is off about it.

1: Make the leaf a bit smaller

2: Move the leaf up and make it smaller.

also - the name sounds like an illness... - did you hear about kelly? she has Eudaimonia. God bless. Everyone is getting sick these days...

:) just looked it up - eudaimonia - a contented state of being happy and healthy and prosperous... who knew it was a real word!

Glad I learned a word today! Unfortunately it still sounds like a bacterial infection.

    everyone uses a leaf

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 3:32 PM

with the organic craze and the sustainability movements, i think your leaf if going to just get swallowed up in the mess of green. try to think of a more compelling and original idea for the logo.

i agree strongly with yitz that the name sounds like an illness :(

1)of the 3 choices you've given i like the first arrangement the best. 2)i dont think health conscious individuals would be attracted to this logo, as everything they've been buying for the past 3-5 years has had a leaf on it. 3)font looks a little unloved still.

    good luck~ keep going!

Typography is constant feedback. I'll get to work on it. Thanks for your feedback.

    first one

    1) first one. It seems more natural...the image is big and take my attention and can be used for brand development. 2) I think it does 3) try Wellness instead of WELLNESS

    Needs personality

Posted on Feb 18, 2010 at 8:37 PM

Firstly, a heirachy issue. If the company name is EUDAIMONIA WELLNESS, then the second word needs to have equal weight as the first. Currently, it appears in the position of a descriptor or tagline and that might not be ideal. eg.

    EUDAIMONIA WELLNESS The healthcare company

Secondly, I agree with many of the above comments. The leaf is a cliche and somewhat meaningless in this context but if you're wedded to it, give it some personality. Maybe make it less generic and more representational of an actual plant with health-giving properties.

Lastly, the typography is soul-less. A personality injection is required. If you're going to stay with the leaf in the semi-illustrative style, the logotype needs to be more playful.

If you want to reflect the present font, make the symbol less representative and much more abstract.

    Hope this helps.

    Great color scheme

Posted on Feb 19, 2010 at 11:22 AM

I like the colors and the font.

    1) I prefer the one with the leaf above and centered. 2) It does gives me the idea of health, but the leaf doesn't gives me the idea of fitness, maybe you can try with another figure there.

    I like number two..

Posted on Feb 20, 2010 at 7:46 PM

I think it meets it's objectives fine. You know exactly what type of company it is straight from the logo. I expect to be asked to buy vitamins and smoothies any second. It looks nice with the text aligned to the right; i think it balances quite well.

I don't think you need to change the type.

    Slight font color change

Posted on Feb 22, 2010 at 6:13 PM

I absolutely love this design, although this is slightly biased because I am a sucker for designs with clear leaves in them (I have no idea why).

I would say that the first version is by FAR the best. However, the second would translate on to the web more easily. I would possibly still go with the first one, if you make a large header for the website it could still be placed tastefully, despite the large vertical space it takes up.

I think the only thing I would change is making the text, and perhaps the outline of the leaf lighter by a very small degree. To me the text jumps out a bit too much, which is in contrast with the laid back style which the whole design otherwise generates.

Also, I am not sure about this one, but perhaps you should change the outline of the leaf ever so slightly. I am really bad at 3d thinking, but the curvature of the spine of the leaf seems to be out of sync with the curvature of the outline of the leaf. In other words, while the curve of the spine suggests that the leaf bends slightly, the outline doesn't. This might be completely stupid, sorry, I am really bad at anything above the second dimension :)

Overall I love the logo, and I think it accomplishes its task pretty well. The laid back colors and the leaf go together and symbolize a natural approach. I keep thinking of the Nestea logo I think with the exception that this is better :)

    Make the leaf more clear

Posted on Feb 23, 2010 at 6:05 AM

I like the first 2. But in number 2 I would put the laef inline withe the headline.

Think it all fits very well for welness and fitness

Try to ad more detail to the leaf. And maybe with a serif Font to address the emotion.

    change the leaf direction

Posted on Feb 16, 2010 at 10:21 PM

nice colors, definitely relevant to health.

rather to change the direction of the leaf (flip vertical) so it points up-right.

compared to the earlier versions, this is more appealing.

Most of the clients prefer logo aligned left or right, so the center design would be perfect but the leaf would not look good. I like the way you have placed it in the last option. Why dont you try the second option with the leaf on top of the "i" (5th letter) Also try this natural pleasing green on the leaf #99c204. All the best :)

    Smaller leaf

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 1:16 AM

At all the concept is not bad. I think that most better is first one but leaf should be smaller. Type is good. Also colors of leaf can be brighter to keep more attention on themselves

    Font

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 2:45 AM

    1) Which logo do you prefer?

    1

    2) Does it accomplish its objectives? If so, how well?

    Yes, absolutely.

    3) Do you have any suggestions for improvements (color, typography, arrangement, etc.?

You could try to add som details to the leaf. The font is a bit generic and boring. You should try some more interesting ones.

    2nd concept

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 8:45 AM

The second concept is good, but not quite there yet. The leaf isn't quite sitting right. Try moving the leaf to the right of the logo and make it point to the right.

    fonts

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 11:32 AM

    1. I'm not a big fan of stock fonts for logo design (unless the graphic element is strong).

    2. I don't think it accomplishes it's objective (since your objective is so broad.

    3. It's really hard to give a proper suggestion without knowing what the company does exactly (nutrition? gym?) If you're really set on using a leaf for a logo - I would try to incorporate it into the "E" like it sprouting out of the side using the same color.

    Nothing

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 12:36 PM

I think that this is a huge improvement on your previous design. The first one is by far the best.

For implementation into a website, I would suggest the second design but would make the leaf a bit smaller.
