If you want to make people click on the 3 icons and the green button from the corner then it's simple. You have to increase the space between the 3 icons and the areas beneath it,like the one with the business man, since now besides looking weird it makes the 3 icons feel like they're from the same pack with the areas beneath it and not that they are a different element with a greater importance then the rest.By increasing the space you will isolate the 3 icons area from the rest thus increasing it's importance, think of the black sheep from the herd, you will most likely notice the black sheep first then the rest of them.

Another thing that you should do is move the green button from the top right to the same level as the 3 icons. The logic behind this is that the user looks at the 1-2-3 images and then at the start button thus keeping the same eye level for everything instead of him having to search or look up & move the mouse to the start button,so everything should be smooth with less hassle or distractions.

I don't know what the Vi INDSAMLER text means but i would move that whole text line beneath the 3 icons or even center it beneath them,it all depends on it's message and importance.

The footer region looks weird because of the gradients intensity, you should either make it the same gradient as the one behind the 3 icons or replace it completely with a 1pixel line above the footer texts.

On the 2nd page i would move the logos from the right to the left beneath the side menu and the testimonial/quoted text where the logos are now

    Hope it helps.

    header

I like the containers and the styles in the first concept. The header looks a little cluttered and unaligned. I'm not liking how the text overlaps the search box. Also, I would consider removing the rightmost text next to the 3 step boxes. Extend the width of each of these containers so it fills the width.

    footer & header

Posted on Feb 09, 2010 at 10:50 AM

Nice and clean layout. it meets the requirements as you mentioned, the green button and the 3 arrow are prominent.

The things that draw attention and don't seem to be well placed/designed is the green button and the header/footer.

    1. Many things on the layout do not feel properly placed on a grid.
    2. The header and footer don't feel balanced.

You totally right with the grid. I´m learning so many things - cool concept :)

      Thanks - Heidi

Thanks for the attachment. I will have a look! I like how the header much more fits in with the footer.

      Nice day!! - Heidi

    Decent start

Posted on Feb 10, 2010 at 2:09 PM

This is a decent start here but needs quite a bit of work: Your page has quite a few alignment, spacing and consistency issues. This overall layout could work but you would really need to work on all of the before mentioned problems.
