It seems pretty good to me. Clean layout, good choice of colors. You could wok on the buttons in the right side of the video box. I think they brake the balance on the page.

    Separation

Posted on Feb 04, 2010 at 10:14 AM

I think this is a really great layout. The video is very well done.

I would play a little more with the home page and static image for the video. Using the heatmap in this place where a potential client might not have any idea what your product is would be confusing. It screams medical to me. I would try a screengrab with a heatmap to make it a little more obvious.

The areas of the homepage don't seem to have enough separation yet. Product Tour/35000 customers/resources etc. are all blending together. Perhaps make the headings a tad heavier. Or try other elements to pull out hte most important areas a little more.

For the pricing page - I think this works very well. I only have two comments:

Is the annual plan a special offer because you have a discount for paying a full year or because you have a limited time discount? I think you want to give a discount for paying by the year instead of month. In that case I would change the text "special offer" to "annual discount" or something along that line. Easily spell out what you mean.

I think you need to add more to the "need an enterprise solution" area. Either graphics or content to fill up that space.

    Looks great so far!

    Weight...

Posted on Feb 04, 2010 at 10:19 AM

I enjoy the light, open feel... I think on the interior page it holds up great... on the home page I struggle with where to look first because everything has the same visual weight... it starts to look cluttered and floaty... i lose the Media Buzz and Blog modules because the Customer scroller buries them.

It doesn't kill it for me... but think it could be stronger with a little more visual hierarchy.

    Looks good, easy to understand

clean page, like the suggestion you have on the plan page "for small sites" etc. really helps with decision making.

    Paragraph

Posted on Feb 04, 2010 at 12:41 PM

    Hey,

this is a great website, great product has potential.

The only thing I would improve from design point of view is to align better the paragraphs on both home and 2-nd page. The different font size and alignment make it kinda hard to read. (some is center align , some left align...some big some small )

I think this changes will effect in a positive way usability also.

The quality of the intro is great and got my attention.

    Great site.

    Regards, MEster.

    The colors are great

    Violet colour

Posted on Feb 04, 2010 at 3:08 PM

It looks quite good and balanced! I also like the idea :) What doesn't fit here, in my opinion, is the violet colour, that you use as the background or title colour sometimes. Maybe it's just personal, but I don't like it. I would try to find something that would refer to the colours of the heatmaps. Or maybe use black instead? You don't use much black anyway, so it could add nice contrast. Good luck!

    Simply GREAT!

Posted on Feb 04, 2010 at 10:59 AM

My friend you did an amazing work of re-Designing.

I just saw the old site and you just made it so much better. Despite having so much going on/ everything seems to be in the perfect place.

The only thing you might want to work on is the placement of the tabs on right of the video. The centre alignment does not look bad, but does not feel good as well.

    the footer

Posted on Feb 04, 2010 at 11:38 AM

I'd like to see the footer get as much attention, to design-details, as the rest of the pages got.

This looks far superior to it's current.

    Contrast

Posted on Feb 05, 2010 at 3:37 PM

Way better than the current one, absolutely.

I have a few things that I want to mention though, mainly about the lower section of your frontpage.

When I skim your frontpage, I have no clue what I'm looking at, unless I focus/concentrate. Normally when I skim web pages, I get a feeling of the structure of the content by looking at headlines (usually bold). In your case, I don't see the headlines helping me that much, since they become a part of the content, and aren't enhanced. Could be an idea also to add some contrast (in terms of bars or restructuring) to the lower section, dividing the different fields (media buzz, blog, resources, customers) a bit more.

Another thing is the upper section. There is space for content near the buttons (pricing, enterprise, request) to the right, which could be used for a small intro of what clicktale is?

Having said that, I would probably put more work into the footer, since this could be an essential part of the design, where people will go and look for whatever they can't find elsewhere on the current page.

Anyway, keep it up! You've already improved ;)

    Good start

Posted on Feb 07, 2010 at 8:20 AM

...but you need to fix one thing. You have almost no visual hierarchy on the front page. Everything looks equal and that can not be. Some things have to be made "primary" and some "secondary". And other (similar) thing is that your headlines are too humble, one can not see them - they should be visually starting points for reading and as such made more prominent. But as I said, this is a good start, keep on...

    start page and violet color

Posted on Feb 09, 2010 at 7:08 PM

put some contrast and hierarchy in your first page, after all, it's all about heatmaps ;-)

i've got a problem with the violet, particularly associated with THIS orange. may'be you could pull your violet to the blue a little ...

    Glossy buttons

Posted on Feb 11, 2010 at 1:58 AM

    Hi

I have used your tool for a long time and spent many hours watching videos of users.

    Some feedback on the design:

The new design is definently better and keeps the purple color which many people remember you by.

    The menu works well.

I prefer to have the sign up button to the left of the video area. This seems more natural in my oppion - (perhaps do an A/B-test?).

Why does Enterprise solution have it's own button? I think it's enough to have it under the price levels as you have now.

You should work with a different font - the large "Customer" in the video area isn't a pretty font.

Other than that - it's a great improvement.

    color contrast

Posted on Feb 11, 2010 at 1:25 PM

The layout is elegant. but the color contrast could be a bit bolder. Say slightly darker purple would really make it standout more.

The hierarchy on the main page

Posted on Feb 15, 2010 at 7:24 PM

I think you could work with what stands more on the main page. To try to tell what's more important in the page.

You really have a great look design here.

Congratulations for the good job so far!

    Usability

Posted on Feb 17, 2010 at 10:42 AM

While the design itself is nice my eye had a difficult time figuring out what to focus on beyond the Plans & Pricing button. All of the other elements on the page are treated virtually the same, with generally the same weighting. It was hard to tell what I was supposed to do next. It's important to take the user on a journey: Where Am I? Am I at the Right Place? Where do I go Next? It's the "Where do I go next "part that I had a hard time with.

    The purple color scheme

Posted on Feb 18, 2010 at 1:02 PM

I think the funcionality of the site is really good. It seems to follow other sites in the same catagory and therefore you can't go all wrong.

Only thing - and this is a tough one seeing that your brand is built up around that color.. - is the purple color scheme. It stands out as an "off color" if you wanted to use purple. It simply just hurts my eyes... Rest is very polished

I second that. I think the design itself is good but there's something about the purple color scheme that just isn't right. I imagine replacing purple with green or blue will make the design stand out.

I really like this design it's eye catching and pleasant to look at. I would make the headings bigger/bolder. They are the same size as some normal text ie. testimonials.

The spacing between the video box, the tabs and the product tour is good, but at the bottom it's too cluttered. Keep the spacing consistent and it will be much easier to navigate.

The tabs next to the video box also look a bit odd.

    Great job otherwise :)

Seems very clean and elegant to me. On the pricing page, I noticed that is very large, maybe you could resume it a bit so it more readable. Great design!
