    brand icon...

Posted on Feb 03, 2010 at 7:00 PM

I really like where this is heading, the brand icon is top... it has all the things that you need...

But that font is quite dull...

you want to give the stamp / brand look I would start with a fresh grunge font, or a clean font that you like and then grunge it up yourself.

    Good luck!

    font

I like the logo, but the font is boring. It couldwork, but not in that way. The placement is too straight for that purpose. I would try different fonts or place the current font a bit more interesting by moving some letters up and down and turning some other.

I like the first logo in your ordering. I would like to see some difference as to the color though. I would suggest you color pink the text BANDIT and change the font of records just to make it different from the main thing which is LOVE BANDIT. It would also be nice on the eyes to color the iconic image in the hearts pink.

    2nd concept

I like the typography in the second concept but don't know about the imagery you are using. I don't think it fits very well. I would try and rethink the imagery.

    Font

Hey I love the 3rd & 4th Layout. Based on what the requirements were, this looks great. However the Font does not feel good enough compared to the artwork.

    Positioning

Posted on Feb 04, 2010 at 5:09 PM

Great concepts so far. I think the stamp treatment will give this logo an interesting effect. It'd be cool if you could show us how the stamp would look since sometimes hand done elements kinda give a logo a different feel.

I see some people saying that the font doesn't quite work yet. I'd try working with two fonts, one for Love Bandit and Records using fonts that harmonize well with each other.

Something I'd also look at is the placement of "Records". I'm liking it when its close to the "Love Bandit" than when its positioned elsewhere. In some placements, you place it kinda far and since you want these two things to work independently as well as cohesively, its good to have kind of have the mindset that these should be able to work on their own.

Hope this helps, good job so far!

    Try some more colours

Posted on Feb 08, 2010 at 11:20 AM

I think number 3 is best, really like the way it uses both the 'o' and 'a'.

You could easily colour 'LOVE" in differnt vibrant colours for different applications.

Kerning needs tightening up a tad though.

I like the font, the simplicity plays well with the stamp.

Maybe play with the positioning of "records" though. Either left, right or justified spacing etc.

    Positioning

I like the "one Color Style". About the position problem of the logo, here´s one suggestion.
