    Beautiful Header

Posted on Jan 29, 2010 at 10:29 AM

I have to agree with most of comments here. Overall, it's very nice and straight to the point which will make viewers attracted to your website.

Design wise, I would change the blue/grey of the content area and buttons to a different color; at least change the buttons' colors because it's not really doing them any justice. If the buttons are more vibrant and attractive, you'll see viewers clicking them and willing following their direction.

Other than that, I still like the website. It's straight to the point and the top of the homepage is beautiful.

    2nd half of the website

Posted on Jan 29, 2010 at 3:30 PM

The design style is very nice, however the background for the Services & Work With us seems very basic. If you want shadows, perhaps different style like one sided might look even better.

I haven't read the other comments, but in the second half of the website "Our Services" & "Work with us" section does not feel right. Its not proportionately divided.

    Has potential

Posted on Jan 31, 2010 at 8:25 PM

I think this design has a lot of potential. Your potential clients are going to be looking for the work you have done and they will get it right on the homepage which is good.

The orange headers clash a bit with the gray background though. And take off the period after "work with us" because its not needed, it's a header.

The contact us now button looks like its cutting a hole out of the work with us box. This may be a good chance to introduce a third color to spice things up a bit. If you do, make sure all the buttons are this new color.

    orange on gray not working

Posted on Jan 29, 2010 at 7:24 AM

This is certainly an upgrade to your first version (I like the header and main area - the transparent to colored gradient is nice), but there are still some things that could be improved:

    • You have top and bottom padding to the left in the main area, but no bottom padding on the right. I see what you are trying to achieve with the images, but I don't think it works here. Also, the slideshow navigation show be placed in the same container. Placing it in the content area may confuse users as to its purpose.

    • The orange headings on the dark gray background don't work well. I'd either lighten the background or use a different color font. I'm also not sure why the content area has a gray background on the home page but only the footer is gray on the sub pages.

    • I would spice up the buttons a bit. Stretch your limits by showing your potential customers what you can do.

    The example of your work.

Posted on Jan 29, 2010 at 7:31 AM

I would find another piece of work to show as an example. The reason i say that is because I was looking for your phone number (which i guess is a call to action), and the only one I came across was the one on the Antill portfolio piece. Now I might be silly enough to call that number to reach you. If you had your number somewhere clear and conspicuous I wouldn't have that problem.

Also the colours on the Antill clash a bit with the harmony of your design.

I do like how you have split up the information in the gray area here, as opposed to the earlier version where it all merges and becomes indistinct.

I have been reading about catchy sentences which catch users attention. Try looking here for inspiration - http://informationhighwayman.com/ read his article on web design sins.

On the side in the middle you have a quote which is a nice personalising touch, I think you need that particular part to stand out a bit more, and perhaps back it up with some other touches of personalisation.

You have the relevant calls to action, but I'm wondering how many clicks from the homepage using the prescribed buttons it takes to get to a contact page? Instead of more about us, and view portfolio, i think you should have a call to action which takes you directly to a page where conversion takes place.

Overall you have a nice looking site here that just needs the right tweaks to get it converting for you.

    Looks good

Posted on Jan 29, 2010 at 8:20 AM

Overall I really like it. It's simple, light and different. I think your footer could use some adjustments as it doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the design. I think I'm most looking at the alignment of the content in the footer. Everything else looks great, good work!

    Proof

Posted on Jan 29, 2010 at 10:13 AM

First of all I like the change of colors. Nice! I love your layout as well. The image on the right, is this an example of the work you do. I say you should have a great testimonial. One that is eye-catching and makes clients say what I need this for my site. Maybe a testimonial showing how the web page is ranking in terms of SEO, are they getting more clicks because of the re-dsign or tons of traffic. Hope this helps. I know you do have a testimonial but it is not to o visible.
