A slight variation in colors to add depth. I really liked the second to last one. The way the text stacks atop itself reminds me of a building with solidifies the companies purpose.
Depending on the company culture I would say stick with it. You could try a lightly serifed font - but if they want a neo-eco, or slightly green feel to it I would stay away from serifs. DIN is a safe choice.
I like this, very elegant, simple and has meaning. I would take the water imagery and move it to the right of the wording and shrink it down. See what that looks like, may not work. The only thing that's a little strange for me here is I feel like "mill" and the water imagery is the same weight and hierarchy. Your first concept is the strongest by far.
Thanks Nate. I'll play around with your suggestions and see where it goes. Seeing the client tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get more of a steer from them too. At this point I don't really know whether we can us a different part of the registered company name for the branding. I'm struggling with the word 'mill' because it's so unbalanced and the letter forms don't give much to work with.
Logo design is my real achilles heel - this site has been a massive help to me. Thanks again.
I like the first one most, but I would move the symbol to the right (see the attached image). I think it gives more movement to the logo.
That looks really good. This might be what Nate suggested too, but I got the wrong end of the stick - your example is much more balanced than my experiments. Thank you.
I also like the second to last one. I would just think about maybe changing the colour.
Now, I'm not exactly sure of your target market and such like, so you would have more idea than me, but it just seems a bit dull.
I know you don't want something childish or too vibrant... but my mind just can't associate this logo with generating energy! I hope you understand what I mean.
I do agree with you. I will definitely try some other options to try and bring it to life. I love Chanteuse as a colour and it can be really vibrant while not too 'green' (as well as being a bit different). I used that kind of colour of some branding a couple of years ago though, and I don't want to be too much of a one trick pony hahaha.
And what Nate and Miro suggested looks good to.
Thank you Nick, much appreciated. I'll give your suggestion a go. Do you have any thoughts on the font? It's fairly classic and I hope won't date, but somehow I find it a bit uninspiring.
