i love the simplistic layout here. I think it really works for you purposes here. The navigation does a good job of being consistent with the rest of the site. Great work!

Modify the main nav a bit

Posted on Jan 25, 2010 at 7:52 PM

I like that you implemented the main navigation in this update. Something just seems a bit off with it separated that much from the rest of the design. It may just be the slight gap in between the 4 links or the fact that the other navigation on the site is more 3-Dimensional?

I think your almost there though

Yeah, the navigation definitely needs a refinement.

I just placed it that way, to let the whole layout look more complete =)

Stay tuned for the next update.

      Thanks!

wow. I loved it. I stared for a good couple of minutes and couldn't find one thing I would change.

    Very elegant. Well done!

This made to say "Wow". Do I need to say anything else?

I love the minimal and the simplistic design.

    Main Nav & Logout

Posted on Feb 15, 2010 at 9:56 AM

I think in general the concept is outstanding. Very easy to understand where you are in the process. My only true concern is the Main Nav area.

Most UI people will tell you keep it flush left. The top left corner is the first place your eyes register and this is the first place people will notice the navigation.

It may not seem like a big issue to you since you know where they are but to someone using this for the first time or repeat users who only use it once in a while will strain to look for the main navigation.

Lastly, the Logout link should stand out more. I would either make it a button the same color orange you are using for the active link state and move it outside of the content area and position it top right where the main nav is now.

My two cents, quid, rubles, dolores.
