Hi!
After recieving previous comments, I have explored new purposes for this concept. (Since this is an example from School, I'm allowed to make up the purpose:) So, my new purpose is to promote an upcoming concert for the band at hand. I've tried to integrate some of my style into the previous simplistic version. I have changed the size to 20x20, to stand out from the Norm and for personal prefrences.
Do you like this version, should I make a new version or should I keep it how it was?
I would appreciate any suggestions regarding to typeface choice, color, typeface placement or even purpose.

To be completely honest, the first things that came to my mind when I saw this was "WTF?".
I couldn't make anything out and it felt really messy to me. I had to take a lot of time to put all of the words together to get an idea of what you're trying to say.
I still don't know what the background is with all of the orange colors, if it's text or just shapes?
Although eye catching with the color, I think the message is too hidden and difficult to figure out that people may just look past it too easily.

I think the looks of this is pretty cool but you don't have any focal points. Tone down the background white areas and make the main details pop out much more. Currently the details get lost within the design.

I think the older one was great. This is cool too.. But I would definitly make your focus text stand out more. When I was designing posters in school, they told me that the viewer must recieve all in the information in like 2 seconds. It takes longer than that to find all the needed info in this design. I think if you vary the strokes or change fonts in the important info, then you'll make this awesome. : ) good luck!

Thanks Eric, Your opinion really helps here. I will experiment with new overall color and try and make the message more clear through more pronounce type color to start.
