The screen shot looks busy, but the site itself look really good. I would recommend finding a way to add "print page" functionality - especially with the code.
I also didn't notice an obvious "subscribe" or "rss" link. That might be useful.
Nicely done!
Its got to go top left im afraid.
It just doesn't stand out enough where it is, if you move everything down a little and have it up the top, i think you have a great looking minimalistic site here.
looks like a simple text only blog
Good minimal design, though maybe switching the middle section with the left section containing the article will be better for usability.
i think you have something there, and as it is right now, I think you might be achieving what you want.
The thing about this is that it is too plain. There is no brand to this website. It looks as if were inside of another website reading some content.
you need a stronger logo, and some other elements to stand out.
Hope this helps
While this works for your target audience and is very code centric, I feel like the design doesn't draw me in to read more. It feels a bit bland and boring. I know you are trying to have a very minimalistic feel and approach, but I think you need to work on visually engaging your readers more.
Hi Rizwan, I like this but have a few suggestions for you that may or may not improve the look.
Create a header for the site with your logo. Use the brown to span across the top if you like, and have your logo on the left. You'll need a search box, so stick that in the header as well (on the right).
Remove the brown box above the second column so 'Spots of Interest' and 'Networks' line up.
Remove the rounded corners off Networks and Recent posts - or introduce rounded corners to Sports of Interest and Currently Reading.
I think if you did the above, and changed the number of 'currently reading' books to 3, both the blue and social networking columns would line up and be of the same height.
